does the trick!
I used this to connect my laptop to my 32" fire TV. works exactly as I hoped. double check the length you really need, I though 8 ft would be way more than I needed, but don't underestimate how much is lost in the ups and downs of routine cables.Other helpful info ...the internet says anything over 27" you lose resolution. this is true, but for having another screens to send PDFs, outlook calendars, instructuonal videos, etc. if you need crisp video, then using this setup isn't the right solution for you.

Works well for what we need
I am not a cable expert. But we needed a long cord from an older flat screen to my laptop. This works well. My only complaint is the metal part going into my computer is bent because of the weight of the cord. It is a heavy duty cord. It still works fine and I have had it 6ish months.

Works good.
Worked great on a friend's Samsung phone. Good picture and audio. On my OnePlus didn't work.

Long enough
I bought these 25 foot tables because the shorter version I’d been using was difficult to use in some hotel rooms - too short to work or display a movie on my computer while propped up on the bed. With this length, I can access my computer while playing something on the hotel television without worrying that the slightest movement might disconnect things.

Stopped working after 11 months. Boo.
I've used the cable a total of 20 times, at the most. It stopped working. I've tried it on multiple computers, and it's dead. I have NO idea why. It's been VERY well taken care of and used sparingly. Bummer.
