awesome teapot
My mother had been looking at buying a cast iron teapot for a long time, so I decided to get her one for christmas. This pot stays warm after the hot water is in it and is easy to maintain since it requires no real cleaning besides a plain hot water rinse. We've found it makes about two cups of good hot tea or four smaller tea cups.

beautiful, and well made.
I purchased this needing a little kettle to seep my tea in. This tetsubin has done an amazing job. It can seep about 4 cups of tea, and keeps it hot for a while. Great buy, and a beautiful addition to my collection of cast iron cookware.

Nice
I liked it. Works perfectly, just wish you could heat the pot itself. But, it works perfectly, and made a nice gift.

Just what I expected.
I'm very happy with my cast iron teapot. It's everything I expected and more. Just the perfect size and it maintains my tea warmer than other non-cast iron teapot. I actually believe my tea taste better when I make it on this teapot, I'm so happy I found it on Amazon. I would have giving it a 5-star but the lid fits loose and I have to hold it (very carefully because it's gets hot) when pouring tea onto my tea mug.

disappointing
The product arrived without the handle attached, and I couldn't figure out how to attach it, so it was returned. Having looked at the design, decided a slightly-larger teapot would better suit my purposes, and that I preferred a shape with slightly more height, less width, and purchased a different (admittedly more expensive) design from another manufacturer.

The lid slides off so be careful
This pot is well made but it does not keep the tea hot unless you cover it. The lid does not stay on well so you need to be very careful when you have the pot full of hot tea. I have had it slide right off. The trick with tea pots and the one thing that separates them by price is how good the pouring spout is. This one is not great in that it drips badly when you pour. So be careful. I place a tea cloth under it as I pour.
