See photograph for comparison. I might consider building my own with used Canon parts. I would not use this on my expensive cameras.

Not reliable
Doesn't work unless jammed into the camera and held. Tried with two different Canon cameras with same behavior. I have push button shutter release that works well with both cameras - therefore the issue is with the Neewer shutter release cable.
