Chinstrap for CPAP in Ruby (Large)

I have been purchasing this item for several years and I buy 2 at a time so I could alternate wearing and washing them. The last time I purchased them my face had a severe reaction to them and I had to stop using them.

Does not work as small to large item. If have a median or small face to big. Material stretched out quickly

Seems like nice quality, my fault that I did not notice it is NOT adjustable, like the original Ruby Red Chin strap. It is a bright red, not the dark red like the ones that are a much thicker fabric. No noticeable smell as reported by others. Price is a little high for it not being adjustable. I'll keep it and see before ordering another.

I have two complaints with this product. First, it’s not adjustable. I’ve used the original Ruby chin strap for years and was surprised that it didn’t have adjustable Velcro straps. I tried it anyway. The foot was OK, but that led to my second complaint. After wearing the strap on two consecutive nights, I developed a rash where the straps came in contact with my chin cheeks and forehead. At first I figured it was my fault for not washing it before wearing it. After about two weeks of healing, I washed the strap and wore to bed. Again, after two nights I have the same rashes on my face. I tried to find out what the material is made of, but I couldn’t find anything on the label. I don’t normally have sensitive skin, so I don’t understand what could have caused this reaction. At least when I go out in public, no one can see the rash because I have to wear a face mask. However, the face mask irritates the rash.I’m returning the strap today. The only reason I’m giving it two stars is that it was easier to put on and take off than my original Ruby strap.

Flimsy piece of neoprene. Wouldn't keep mouth shut while sleeping unless you first taped your chin with mailing tape.

I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the mask when you put it on. i had other styles prior to this one that wereeasy to put on but didn't stay on during the night. I use a CPAP machine and the noise can be bothersome if the mask moves around or shifts just a little bit.

This item is sized large, but it's not very large.

I use a chin strap with my CPAP machine as I am a mouth breather. This chin strap in NON ADJUSTABLE and was actually quite comfortable. However, there was not enough support to keep my mouth closed while sleeping. Additionally, I could never get rid of the neoprene smell. I washed it three separate times, even using an enzyme cleaning product made for neoprene - the smell never went away. I ended up throwing this in the garbage.
