lustre dust
This is a beautiful colour, but not quite the colour green I was looking for. It will absolutely get used on another cake , so I won't be sending it back. This is more of a Teal colour, so if anyone is looking for a Teal lustre dust, this is by far the nicest one I've got. X

Easy fingertip spread evenly on fondant or mix with spirits and use paintbrush. Excellent.
I have used this for several baking decorating projects. Including mixing a little bit of spirits (vodka) in a saucer then dropping in a little gold dust, mixing it in, then painting it with a small fine paintbrush on to very specific areas of royal icing on celebration cakes. It can also be in an easier way when used on fondant icing, I just use my finger tip to smooth it over quite a large area to blend it until it is even and a strong colour may take several coats. Tip use fondant icing similar in colour for best results, e.g. I used yellow and painted with gold edible dust. A really stunning effect, leaves no residue taste or grittiness.

Edible Glitter
Lovely edible food glitter comes in a lovely, nice packing. However, they have paid attention to the details so although it’s little it doesn’t spill when you open it. There is a protective packing in it.As it’s a food product, it is essential to check the expiry date, and I’m glad this one is valid till the end of 2026.Create some nice finishing on cakes and anything else you want. However, do note that there is no taste in it so it will not add any difference to the flavour which is great as it keeps the original intended flavour.

so beautiful and shimmery
bought this to add a little drip effect to my daughter birthday cake but didnt get to do it as i didnt have the right tools so will definitely have a go for my next daughters birthday. i did mix a little in a pot to test it out it makes a beautiful metallic gold. this edible dust is a fine powder with a beautiful shimmery effect. it is made with food-grade ingredients, fat-free, non-GMO, gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, non-toxic, edible, fragrance-free, and doesnt alter the flavor of your recipes. suitable for vegetarians which is fab. its very versatile can be used for decorating cakes, cupcakes, cakepops even add it to drinks etc. easy to use comes in a small bottle which is sealed and airtight. comes in different colours the overall effect is great must have if you are a baker or cake decorator.

Tiny But Mighty
This is only the smallest of tubs and is very fine bit it really does go a long way and great for dusting cakes, hot chocolate etc but also can be used like a paint 9f you use alcohol like vodka. I wanted to get this to Male some Christmas cakes but tested it first initially with hot chocolate which I added the most smallest spoonful to chocolate powder shaker just to see if it would sprinkle is a fine dust or clump up. It really did sprinkle as a fine dust and mixed with the chocolate powder I could see it would make a festive drink topping too at Christmas

Beautiful shimmering colour.
This arrives in a small cardboard box measuring approx 4cm x 4cm x just over 4.5cm.Inside, the jar has a sleeve of polystyrene sheet around it to protect it from bumps during transit, so mine arrived in perfect condition. There is an expiry date on the cardboard box of 30.07.26, but none printed on the jar itself, so if you plan to bin the box you might want to get a pen & write it on the jar label before you do that. This has a decent screwcap lid, so you don't need to worry about trying to pry a lid off & the powder going everywhere.I picked the rose gold shade & it's a lovely warm version, which looks fabulous when used.I normally apply lustres with vodka as medium & this has a nice depth of colour with just a couple of coats, or a beautiful shimmer if you prefer to sprinkle it on things. It's basically tasteless unless you try to eat it with a spoon (not recommended) so can be used sparingly on delicate flavours without changing them.Very happy with this & if you are making little cakes for a party I've found most kids think it looks magical - grown ups eyes tend to light up too because it just adds a little something extra special to your creations.

A fine edible gold glitter
Edible Glitter Gold 8g - VIVILOR Food Colouring Powder Gold Lustre Dust Edible – No Gluten or Dairy, Edible Glitter for Drinks, Cakes, Chocolate, Strawberries, Cupcakes, Fondant, CocktailsThe product I received was edible gold glitter. This is a fine gold edible glitter/dust and comes in an 8g resealable pot (screw lid). The gold dust is very fine and a little does go a long way. To use the gold to give a cake a touch of sparkle, I simply used a small soft brush (it was easy to get a small amount onto the brush from the pot) and then gently brushed the gold onto the icing that was on the cake. It gave the cake a lovely lustrous finish. This is a small pot of fine gold edible glitter/dust, however you do not need to use much to get a lovely effect, so for the price (at time of review £7.99) it is good value.

Pretty versatile apart from the vodka…
A dinky little pot, but carefully packaged with protective foam around the plastic, so the fine gold powder doesn’t spill everywhere before you get it. Sealed too, and with a very long sell by date (2026, which seems light years away but isn’t). I’ve taken photos of all the packaging so you can see it’s perhaps not ideal for young children (and certainly not if mixed with vodka, as the marketing blurb recommends, to create a gold “paint”). I’ll be adding teeny bits of this to some bubbly for a family do next month, as it creates a lovely gold swirl - I admit I’ve already tried it! It won’t mix with water, so if you do need it to decorate cakes or whatever, rather than dry brushing, there’s a certain challenge in finding the right medium to ensure it’s suitable for everyone, without resorting to the suggested vodka. But the gold colour is actually very authentic looking, and I’ve tried a bit of dry brushing on some meringue last night. I forgot to take photos as I was making some Eton mess and just suddenly decided to try it out, but it looked really good. A little goes a long way so this is good value, although I personally wouldn’t use it for children.
