Certainly doing it's job...
We've had it for several weeks now and it's certainly doing its job. A big problem for us was calls from 'Unavailable' (as reported by our Gigaset handsets). Simply setting the 'block Unavailable Callers' option didn't deal with all those, so I called the help line. They said there are are several variations on 'Unavailable' and suggested also setting 'block Withheld', & i that didn't work try 'block 'VOIP/IP Rouge Callers'.'block Withheld' didn't do the trick for our hard to block 'Unavailable' calls, but 'block 'VOIP/IP Rouge Callers' has done the trick. I've now removed blocking of Withheld as we do have some use of that and as our Gigaset DECT has a setting that can direct such calls, silently, straight to answerphone.The blocked calls register in the calls list (classified as Missed Calls) on our handsets (I presume that's intentional & maybe unavoidable? In a way it's handy), but they don't ring so we don't get disturbed.

Never really worked for me.
I'm really sorry to add to a previous good review but this product has caused me endless problems. The phone still rings, even when the call has been blocked, which means I have to get up and check which seems to miss the point. I have also noticed that although I press the blue encircled button on the Call Blocker, there is no indication that the call has actually been blocked. However, I decided I could live with both these slight issues.However, three times in the last two months in which I last used it (30th December 2017, 3rd February 2018, and 20th February) I have had to report a fault on my phone to my phone company (Virgin Media) in that I could phone out but not receive calls. On the last visit they quite clearly traced the problem to the Call Blocker. The phone performs as it should when not connected to the Call Blocker; but fails when it is.I therefore emailed support on 20th February but no-one has been in touch. If this review prompts a solution I'll be glad to rewrite it more favourably. My phone service is provided by Virgin Media with Caller ID enabled. I have three BT wireless phones with the Call Blocker originally connected to the main phone with the answer machine. Anyone with any ideas? Thanks!

Balm for those plagued by unwanted calls
This is my second CPR call blocker. My first had a smaller capacity memory but worked perfectly until recently when, according to a BT engineer, it caused a line fault. I am a fan of call blockers and this brand, which is particularly easy to set up. If, like us, you have been plagued by up to 20 unwanted calls a day from criminals you need one of these for peace and quiet and elimination of anger induced stress. Be aware that for this device to work you need to have caller ID display activated on your landline.

Brilliant bit of kit no more unwanted calls
Finaly got this working and am totally happy with it it needed a reset has it would not block any thing straight out of the box on our talktalk phone line re-entering codes did not help I think we were probably very unlucky to get one that had teathing problems and should with hindsight have sent it back it is a very expensive bit of kit (double the cost of the 3 Panasonic phones it shields) but once up and running just what we needed no more OUT OF AREA calls from the far east

GREAT CALL BLOCKING DEVICE
FANTASTIC DEVICE, was getting 4-5 nuisance calls every weekday, nothing to lose so bought this device, easy peesie to set up, at 1st a couple of calls got through, 02872129997, 02883184560, 02387737874 and 01379384562 but just hit the big red BLOCK NOW button, have not heard from those numbers again, ONLY HAD MY CALL BLOCKER IN FOR A FEW WEEKS SO FAR BUT SO FAR SO GOOD, i am not convinced such a device will block 100% of nuisance calls but this CPR Call Blocker Shield come pretty dam close.

A Godsend
Having been deluged with up to 15 'international' calls daily and having no way to block them, I was at my wit's end. This CPR Call Blocker Shield was an absolute saving grace. I plugged it in - easy peasy - and, following instructions on the back of the leaflet, barred any 'international' calls. All set up and ready to go in about 2 mins from start to finish. Not a single nuisance call since. Not one. Music to my ears. Am buying one for my elderly mother too.

Like a can of beans
It does exactly what it says on the tin. Very good instructions, very easy and simple to install and from day 1 it has greatly reduced our scam nuisance calls. After 1 week I had my first scam call today and pressed the big red button, its that simple. It has certainly helped us and for the price hopefully will continue.

Very Impressed
I was receiving a least a dozen nuisance calls a day prior to obtaining this Call Blocker (so much for TPS). This has now reduced to one or two a week that can be added to the list with a mere press of the button. Pretty much fit and forget. Programming is a bit odd using the telephone numbers and symbols, but has all the required features. Thinking about buying another one for the other phone line.
