We got the lowest voltage unit but it still needs a 30-amp GFI breaker. So we got an electrican to do the electric upgrade and we did the water lines ourselves. The electric upgrade was $285.00 for labor and $100.00 for a 30-amp GFI breaker from Amazon. So all in was $500.00 and at this time, 30 days into this, the system has only been installed 36 hours and the water temperature is only luke warm, Wintemp won't answer anything but an email (Back to the drawing board..).Just discovered that the new plug that was installed for the 30 amp GFI outlet needed adjusting. The prongs on the plug were misaligned and not fitting together within the outlet. Simple fix so far. Our heaters working perfectly..!! Waited for the water to heat and because of our michigan cold weather this heater won't heat our water above Luke warm and the next model up requires a $7 to $800.00 upgrade to our electric panel so it's alot more to this system than buying it and plugging it in.2/28/2025 update.I just received an email from Wintemp for the second time. The first time was for a free upgrade to a unit that would handle our cold Michigan water and the second is for a full refund. Great customer service from Wintemp..!!

This unit heated water at the rate of ongoing gallon in 3 minutes 25 seconds to a temp of 100 degrees. This is a pencil lead sized stream. Not even enough to wash your hands. On the up side it was easy to install. Now I will reverse that and put back my 2 gallon electric tank water heater. I'm very disappointed with this unit.

Done everything to get this system to put out hot water. Adjusted the temperature to 130 and got a shot of warm water then it went back to 65 degree. SMH.After a great experience with the seller and their representatives it is understood that the product indeed is not faulty it’s just designed for a warmer region. Following that, they compensated me for my troubles. This type of service is difficult to find. Recommend getting a better understanding of how theses instant hot units work in your area.

Got this water heater to install in a skoolie renovation project - meant to give hot water to a sink and shower. The water definitely gets hot, but it doesn't stay hot for very long. I found you could get a solid few minutes of hot water, and after that it would quickly turn cold. If you turn the water on to be barely a trickle you can make it last longer, but that doesn't make for a very quality shower experience.If all you need is lukewarm water (or don't have very strong water pressure) this will for sure do the job for you. Otherwise, I'd probably look elsewhere and invest in one of the more expensive options.

Do not buy. Connected and tested. Water temp raised to temp. Turned faucet on again and temp shot up a kicked out 30 amp breaker. Now will not work.
