Harry Potter Hogwarts Magical Mayhem 3D Board Game

Fun game for Harry Potter lovers. Bought for granddaughter she liked very much. Needs assembly I thought was. Lot but between the twoofuswegotbit together. It would be great if you have a spot to keep it assembled.

Very fun game, excellent quality and a lot of attention to detail! Kept our family busy having fun for quite a while! Definitely a game you can replay again and again and still have fun! Very easy to play and a value for the money!

My son loves playing this with his younger cousins! It’s a game that’s you’d have to build in order to play. It’s a team effort playing as Gryffindor and earning points by playing mini games that young children may like.

My daughter loves it! The construction is the first fun part. Even if the games are a bit repetitive, she loves the universe of this game.

We LOVE this game. We pop popcorn, turn on the Harry Potter movie soundtracks, and have a great family night. We have a large family with some smaller kids, so parents team up with the younger ones, but many of the challenges in the game are easy for 4 or 5-year-olds to try on their own. The game, when assembled, is just as impressive as the product photos, and everything is well-made. The whole thing hinges on having the full-color instruction manual, at least unless you play so much that you memorize each challenge, so take good care of the book. We've purchased this again to give as a gift because we love it so much. Well done.

Alot to set up but fun

Was a big hit for my Harry Potter loving family. Even the 7 year old had fun.

My entire family has read the Harry Potter books, watched the movies, and we're planning on visiting the theme parks when my daughter is just a little bit older. We've played most of the board games too, so when the opportunity came to review this, I jumped on it. Obviously, this is a game for kids, and in that, it's quite a bit like the old game Mouse Trap - the fun isn't in playing by the rules necessarily, it's about building the set pieces and messing around. Where they set out to make a board game, they really just made a toy. When playing by the rules, there are 8 or 9 minigames (depending on how you count the dungeon game) that players can attempt. Four of these are dexterity games (spooning ingredients, lassoing a basilisk, dropping pixies and flicking die), four of them are "select randomly and see what happens" (memory, divination, herbology and magical creatures), and one requires you to do a bit of actual puzzling (the path dungeon game). Each game can be explained as it happens, so the teaching time is minimal. As a grown up, the only game that even slightly catches my attention is the dungeon path game. That requires a bit of thinking, and is only random during setup, which makes it quite a bit more fun to me. Most of the other games are a blind choice, where maybe you might win by sheer luck alone. Not great. The kids had fun though. Overall, this is designed for kids, and it's good enough for them, and it comes with an exotic looking game board that will certainly draw your eye. That said, the game board prevents you from sitting around the table - you have to play news anchor style, where everyone sits on one side of the table, which could be problematic for some. Additionally, set up and tear down takes a bit of time, and a bit of care so as not to wreck the components. Spin Master did a great job of including a quality insert that holds and sorts the bits for you, but it still takes some time. We've played on two separate nights, and the adults are well over this one, and the game board itself is starting to show some wear and tear from being removed and reinserted into the clips.

Bought this for my daughter’s BFF as a birthday gifts. Once they open it, they could not stop playing for hours! She loves it & she’s a diehard fan of Harry Potter. We played together & I really enjoy it as well. It’s really fun & the kids don’t even care about counting the points. Just enjoying each mini games.

My 9 and 6 year old really enjoyed playing this game. It’s cooperative so much less fighting that other games we play :)

Came in prestine condition. Can't wait to play with my family!

It's a board game, I don't really get it. It was a gift for someone, and they didn't seem to be incredibly enthused by it. I guess if you are a die hard fan it's a good gift to get.
