DeWalt D26410 110v Random Orbital Sander 150mm

I was prompted to write this review after being shocked to read the other by the gentleman from Nigeria. Basically I have used this sander every working day for the last three years to sand automobile bodywork, sand filler, sand back plastic bumpers and flat back lacquer, without any problems whatsoever. As with any hook & loop device it is always necessary to replace the actual pad now and again as the hooks become less effective over time, and because I typically attach and remove different grades of sanding discs a dozen times a day I've replaced the backing pad about four times at a cost of around £15.00 on Ebay. The 'small bolt' mentioned on the previous review is quite sturdy and is only used to lock the pad in place. I wouldn't even like to attempt to snap this with a crow bar.

The sander was a big disappointment, believe me I bought 3 of them and within 3 months all 3 have spoilt, the sanding pad breaks off from the sander body held by a tiny bolt. Bosch gives a 3 years guarantee and Dewalt rather stays silent on it.
