Wonderful product when nothing else works
I always never leave a review. But this product is so effective that I am compelled to give a 5 star review. I tried close to every anti inch shampoo on the market, and also prescribed shampoo by a standby doctor who was not my usual dermatologist. Nothing worked. I finally got to see my dermatologist and explained to her what I had tried and she recommended this shampoo as well as prescribed topical cream. The cream was on back order so I only used this shampoo. After 1 application, I felt some relief. After 3 applications, all itchiness gone. I did not even apply the cream as a result. Yes, this shampoo smells but it's a small price to pay. I only applied it to the affected area, not the whole head so the odor was not too obvious. Now I only use it when I got a flare up. To me, this shampoo is godsend.

Finally found something that works!!!
I am a 23 year hairdresser and had been looking for something that works for my daughter for years. She has very thick, beautiful wavy hair and needed something that would clarify and control oil without drying her scalp. She had a problem with flakes also. After trying more than a dozen professional brands, which by the way, are very expensive, I decided to give this a shot based on the reviews…. And to my delight, it worked and has continued to work ever since. Not to mention how affordable it is I have nothing but rave reviews about this product! At first, I did not subscribe. I just bought a few individual bottles, but about a month after she ran out the oil and flakes were back. So I recommend getting on the subscription so that it shows up without having to think about it. Great product, can’t say enough good things about it. And this is coming from a professional, who has used every line on the market. Big thanks to Clarks!!!!

Good shampoo with some issues
I really like this shampoo but the smell and lather bother me somewhat. I find myself frequently having to shampoo twice in order to get clean hair. However, it does a good job keeping my scalp healthy and dandruff free. Plus it is very cheap- just remember to really shake the bottle before use

Best Dandruff Shampoo I've Ever Tried - Super Effective
I've tried countless different dandruff shampoos over 30+ years. Some are moderately effective, but most are just lousy at controlling dandruff. Clark's Full Spectrum Dandruff Shampoo is the real deal; it not only controls dandruff flakes, it also reduces itching and scalp inflammation. This product is one of the few things I've purchased recently that actually exceeded expectations. While Clark's doesn't smell good, it doesn't smell bad. I've used coal tar dandruff shampoos for years that smell far worse and produce lesser results. Given how effective Clark's is, I can accept the fact it doesn't smell like mint, or cedar, or some other synthetically produced perfume.

Works great, priced right!
Works better than many of the more expensive options. This little 8 oz bottle lasts forever too - a little goes a long way!

Failed.
I read reviews before buying, several. Yes it does stink! Problem; the odor does not wash out, but worse is it does not stop the itching, it does not get rid of flakes. Sorry to say a waste of money. I’m not sending this useless shampoo back, I trashed it. The shampoo that I use was so effective. Immediately after applying to my head my scalp started tingling. Best of all was the immediate itch relief. Yes there was an odor but after rinsing & applying a conditioner the odor was gone as were the flakes & no more itching. Only reason I tried this shampoo was because they are price gouging on the mentor I used. Unfortunately I’m going to have to pay the ridicous price to get it. But at least it works. UPDATE: The back of my neck around hairline is burned, not blisters but like 2nd degree sunburn from this Clark’s shampoo. Please be careful if you choose to try it.

The Smell IS Too Much
I actually sort of like this gasoline type scent, so after reading the other reviews I didn’t think it would be a problem for me, but it was. I got a headache and my son literally vomited from the smell (he’s 4 and wasn’t in the shower or bathroom with me but was in my attached bedroom) and he has never thrown up over just a smell before.

Does not stink as much as some say and provides great results
This formula has more (50%) sulfur and more (50%) salicylic acid with about the same coal tar as the bottle (another brand) I bought as a dog shampoo at a national chain store. Size is 8oz vs 16 oz. I like the Clark's as it is stronger, more concentrated and maybe, just maybe not as stinky. I use it on my (growing) bald spot and on my dogs with their rashes. This is not a perfumed smell good product - it smells medicinal and it is just that. Coal tar and sulfur have distinctive aromas - strong ones at that. Give it a try - the combination of active ingredients has been proven in use for many (underscored) years. I think it is safe to use except in California - there it causes cancer, according to the label. I don't live in California so I get to use it and enjoy the wonderful benefits.
