That was only working marginally, and was leaving a sticky residue so we decided to try these. So far they've been wonderful, and have been holding her socks up perfectly -- much better than the tape method. My daughter is only 6, so her legs are small. I simply cut off a couple inches of excess material so that they fit her well. But I realized after one practice, that these are too thin and too long. They stayed fastened where the velcro connects, but the other end that was (closest to her leg) came undone and was just flapping around. Were it a game, another player (or my daughter) would have stepped on the trailing end and the strap would have come off.I'm going to go back to a thicker/shorter strap.
