Aglets to die for
Laces arrived in a plain envelope - good for the environment but also means my nosy Postie won't know I needed new laces. On opening the envelope the first thing that struck me was the colour. The phone screen had not done justice to the shade of brown, in a strange twist of kismet, it is the exact colour I like my tea. I bought the laces to install in my Clarks Batcombe Lord leather boots, a boot that uses a 6 hole- 1 cleat configuration. Initial installation was fairly straightforward, robust aglets allowing for easy threading. I elected to use the over-under threading pattern but am thinking I will change to the bar configuration as it displays the lace better. On wearing my freshly laced boots I quickly discovered that in my haste to lace I had neglected to check if I had used the right lace for the right boot, consequently the laces kept coming undone. A quick relace sorted the problem and I have had no further issues. Colleagues have commented on the sleek design of my new laces and are amazed when I inform them that although having a thinner profile than the manufacturer's supplied lace, they actually perform better, lace easier and do not suffer from annoying slippage where the core and outer sheath become disassociated. All in all, one of the finer laces I have had the pleasure of owning, I will definitely be upgrading the rest of my footwear to these laces over the next few months and feel empowered to get rid of my slip-ons. Great product

Oh, the relief...
You never miss them till they're gone. The laces on my black MnS work shoes had lasted two years each working day and were on their last legs. One more tug and snap... gone and I had to put my BROWN shoes on instead.Never fear Amazon Prime next day delivery to the rescue and a great price to boot. Ahem.I take size 8 and my originals were about 80cm, so these, at 75cm, are pretty much on the mark. I worried about the wax coating, thinking they'd be too stiff, but no the laces were perfectly pliable, which was most helpful. Very happy bunny and the MnS black's live another (year?).Do I Really Need This...? Yes, of course!

Not suitable for every day use.
I have used them for about 1.5 months and they have disintegrated. As per the photos, you can see a new one and what they look like after a few weeks of use. The wax coating is stripped off in under a week and the fibres start their deterioration(as per the microscope image). The older Lace is actually swollen by a few milimetres as it starts disintergrating. Within a few weeks they snapped.A weird point of interest is that the wax coating is stripped off throughout the length, not just where it touches hands or the shoe. They look great, but are only suitable for occasional use shoes.

Perfect colour and fit
One of my laces for my boots snapped through years or wear. I wanted a similar colour to the original pair of laces and this was the closest match, the length was a little bigger than the original but this didn’t matter and they tie up nicely. Would definitely recommend

Laced up nicely thank you!
Husband has light blue suede shoes with beige coloured laces. Measured laces and decided to go for these 75 cm. Was unsure of width but hazard a guess at them being the 2.5mm. These are exactly the same look as those that snapped and needing replaced, so pleased with size. Ordered two pairs the beige ( which were the same colour that broke) and the grey. As the shoes are blue and the grey lace in the picture looked blueish grey I thought they would also look good. Well they look really good for colour and the beige ones look good too. I would say the quality is (for an expression that suits) a bit ropey. They are more dull than shiny. But then when on you don't notice the quality and I hope the ropey feel means they are more robust then the shiny ones you normally get. I would definitely buy again especially as they appear to have a nice range of colours.

Cheap crap
Waited 2 weeks for these to be delivered (domestic UK delivery). Came 2nd class in just a white envelope laces shoved in there. No packaging, no anything, just 2 laces thrown in an envelope not even coiled. Then the quality of the laces, extremely thin and I don't expect them to last more than a few weeks. If you looking for laces, don't get them from here. There are better places online. Buy cheap buy twice. I should have know better.

50% of the order was correct!
The laces were delivered on the date specified. Unfortunately I received one lace of the correct length and one lace 11cm shorter. So the order was 50% correct. Both of the existing laces that I am intending to replace are in a poor state and therefore I cannot ‘mix-n-match’ new with old. However, I shall not be sending them back because I only purchased one pair just in case they proved to be unsuitable.

Sadly all design over functionality
On arrival the laces seemed ideal and appeared nice quality. But initial appearances were deceiving, within a month both laces had snapped off. And it wasn’t as if I’d worn the particular shoes very much. Rubbish.
