Awesome product with great results that were proven through multiple blood lab tests. Take one a day for 7-days, ten just take once a week and your D3 levels will be fantastic! One important note, when taking this supplement always take it with a little bit of healthy fats. So eat some peanut butter, eggs, or omega-3 fatty acids. It will absorb much better into your system.

I try to keep my Vitamin D levels between 50-100 ng/ml on a 25 hydroxy D test. I had been taking 10,000 daily for 6 months without fail and my blood tests only registered in the low 30s. So I started taking this daily for 3 months and I tested in the low 50s. I'm now around 70 and take this 2-3 times a week. These might sound too high, but your body would biologically make 25,000 iu daily in a few hours near the equator where we evolved before it would stop (because your body will not overproduce D.) So a biological dose is 25,000 iu, not 2000 iu.commonly found in D supplements. You might need a lesser dose to maintain good levels, but if you are fat, have diabetes, cancer, osteoporosis, a broken bone or other conditions you probably need a high level. If you have no gallbladder you probably need a dry form like this one. The only way to know if you have enough is to take a $40 vitamin D test (available from the Vitamin D Council.) And beware of old reference ranges that show 30 ng/ml as high or sufficient. The new data shows 50-100 is the target range. It is amazingly difficult to overdose on Vitamin D unless you have a granulomatous disease or hyperparathyroidism, And can't you get it from the sun for free? Well yes, if you live south of Atlanta, are Caucasian, work in the sun without sunscreen between the hours of 11:00 and 1:00. And you can't shower for 3 days because the bacteria on your skin make the vitamin and need time to manufacture and absorb it. The shower is the biggest obstacle eventhough sunshine vitamin D is superior. So spend time in the sun and take your vitamin D too.

I had my Vitamin D levels tested and I was very low, only 18 ng/mL. So, my doctor put me on a Vitamin D2 regimen (one pill every week for 8 weeks and then 1 every two weeks). I had my level retested and it only raised to 25 ng/mL. I thought it was going to be much higher! I had done some research on Vitamin D as I was taking the D2 and discovered that many people recommended D3 instead. So, when I had my level retested and it was still low, I asked about D3, because I knew I'd need to keep taking Vitamin D. In turns out that my doctor also takes D3 and the woman I talked to on the phone (not sure if she was a receptionist or nurse) recommended BioTech D3-50 and that my doctor takes it as well and buys it on Amazon. I thought it was strange that he would write me a prescription for D2 when he takes D3! It cost me $18 dollars for 10 D2 pills when I could have bought 100 D3 for the same price! So strange and really glad I did my research and questioned the pills I was taking. I'm going to be taking these capsules twice a month now for a few months and then get my levels retested. The pills are small and super easy to swallow. It's great that I can take them so infrequently. I just set a reminder on my phone and forget about it. I highly recommend these.

These are my favorite Vitamin D3. I don't get outdoors enough, and after being diagnosed with osteopenia then osteoporosis over a decade ago I added them to my vitamin and supplements regimen, taking 2/week divided, along with 5mg Vitamin K2. I've had a few nasty falls since including slipping backwards last year on a concrete patio covered with wet algae and falling right onto the coccyx, while wearing a midi blue jean skirt! The skirt suffered more than I did--although my tailbone was sore for a few months that time. But no broken bones or any need to go to the doctor. So I'm persuaded these D3 supps (along with eating well, and getting enough protein and extra vitamin C, etc.), are helping to keep my bones flexible. And after not having a DEXA bone scan for over 7 years, one a couple months ago showed minimal to no further bone loss!
