A very good coffee maker
When my Keuring coffee maker died after only a couple of years of use I started looking for a replacement. I had heard that Ninja had a good reputation for making quality appliances and when I learned they made a coffee maker that gave you the choice of using ground coffee or Kcups I was intrigued. I do prefer ground coffee as it is much more affordable than the Keuring cups and ...well...I just feel ground coffee...especially the way I prefer it.....black ...tastes better. I was never quite satisfied with the Keuring coffee makers they were so ugly looking and the coffee they made....I guess I already went over that...but anyway as a single old guy who just wanted a single cup of coffee in the morning I was stuck with Keuring. I have had the Ninja Pods and Grounds coffee maker for about 6 months now and I have to say I am very pleased with the product...maybe even more than pleased. As I mentioned I am a black coffee drinker. This coffee maker does a superb job of making a good cup of coffee. I prefer using the "rich" mode as it brings out all the flavors of my coffee. Another thing. I like my coffee hot. I am scratching my head over reports from some other reviewers saying the Ninja does't come through with hot coffee. What? My coffee is always hot from my Ninja. Forgot to mention that my morning routiine also includes a cup of green tea and let me tell you this Ninja comes through with flying colors in brewing a an excellent cup of tea. All I have to do is place a tea bag in the basket put it on "rich" mode and it produces a wonderful cup of green tea. I have the Ninja Pods and Grounds coffee maker that comes in "stone" color that looks so nice on my kitchen counter. It takes up less space than the aforementioned Keuring and gets a lot of compliments. I think it really looks classy. I like the fact that you can adjust the little tray to accomodate any size cup and it will even accomodate my travel mug. Yay! One final note..regarding Kcups...I am not totally against them In fact I keep a few around when I am too lazy to measure out a ground coffee cup o' joe and also for when I have company and need faster coffee making in those situations. The Kcups work great on this machine. Don't know what to say except I hightly recommend this Ninja and think you'll really like it.

I love the versatility of using K-pods and ground brewed coffee.
This is the 3rd single cup coffee maker I've tried recently, and I love it the most. I can make a K-pod cup, or I can make a cup with ground coffee. The water reservoir is large enough that I don't have to fill it with each cup. It's easy to insert a paper filter to brew ground coffee. The filter holder is easy to remove to dump the used paper filter. There is a space to stash the parts you aren't using (like the brew filter) so they don't get misplaced. The controls are located on the top and are intuitive (for me). The footprint is tiny so it doesn't take up a lot of counter space. It comes with a little tool to clean the nozzle if it gets plugged. It has easy instructions for demineralizing and doesn't require some extra solution to clean, just vinegar. I can't speak to the longevity because I've only had the unit for about a month, but it's a winner.

Better than a Keurig
We purchased this about a year ago to replace a Keurig. We just got tired of dealing with them. The pods work without any issue whatsoever. And I like the idea that you have the basket with storage on the side of the unit for it and a measuring spoon. It’s very clever. The machine is easier to clean than the competition. You can remove the spout and put it into the dishwasher. Everything is dishwasher safe except for the carafe. We liked this so much that we bought a second one for our daughter in her dorm I also like how it is so easy to do a descaling. The functionality of the machine is extremely easy. The quality seems more sturdy than the other brand. Is extremely easy to use and the strength is appropriate. I even feel it seems more durable than the other brand as well. I would totally recommend this coffee maker.

Great little coffee maker
We needed a small coffee machine at a second home and this coffee machine is excellent. It accepts pods or you can use ground coffee in a small basket, which us what we did. The flavor is rich a d 2 rounded reaspoons is perfect for a 12 Oz coffee. Excellent design, quality and use. Easy to clean. It appears very durable. I highly recommend this product and it's a great value.

Hot, iced, pods, grounds. Assignment understood.
My Keurig bit the dust after only six months, which felt a little early for retirement. Replaced it with this one, and I’m impressed. It’s sleek, easy to use, and gives me options: hot or iced, K-Cups or grounds. I appreciate a machine that can accommodate whatever coffee personality I wake up with.

Great choice for price range, But not the best
Solid choice for coffee maker not the best. Has multiple options which make it easy to use. Cleaning is simple if you use pods or grounds and it comes with both setups. But unfortunately it is not the best when it comes to making coffee and likes to make a mess when making a cup.

Love the performance, no issues as others reported.
My wife and I love this thing. It makes great coffee, you can set a wide range of amounts from a small brewing basket or any K-cup, and it’s fast. We spent a lot of time looking over ratings for this one and a few others and risked the bad ratings on leaks and fragile plastic. Replacing a dual-function Cuisinart that had a k-cup on one side and a regular pot brewing on the other, we worried most about the plastic complaints. We filled the old one and this one with a base based nozzle from the faucet on the old one and the new one so we were less concerned with that, but the strength and thickness of the Ninja is at least as good as the Cuisinart coffee maker’s single cup brewing water container. I think it will stand up as long as we do not drop it. That breaks a lot of modern plastic containers. The packing was the usual adhesive plastic film over many spots to protect scratches, molded cardboard on top and bottom, and heavy cardboard beyond that, then the typical good Amazon packing. Nothing bounced around and all was intact. No issues there. The other complaint was leaking. We did not see that issue, but one thing I learned the hard way with the old coffee maker’s k-cup adapter, was that it was very important to seat the plastic cup before pushing down the cover. There are two puncture points, the bottom into the cup’s plastic and the top through the thin film top. Because the bottom pushes directly through when you push it down before closing the top that pivots down in a quarter circle, not doing that first causes the top cover to tear the film too much and it leaks around the top cover seal. If you push it down first, the tear is absent or minimized and does not leak. It took me quite a while to figure that out and later have my wife give me an “Of course, you idiot. Read the instructions “ remark. This may be the cause of others seeing leaks. And they are messy, with wet coffee grounds flowing all over. Push the cup down. We also happen to like the retro color blue. It looks like 50’s/60’s appliance colors of old. We like that look versus the ubiquitous stainless steel all over. So far, glowing remarks. If anything changes I’ll post another TLDR review.

Quality above old time Manufacturer!
Hands down better than any of my previously owned 4 or 5 Keurig coffee makers. I just purchased a new Keurig , and was not pleased with its build quality, seemed flimsy along with splashing coffee all around the outside of the mug when dispensing. I was at a local garage, sitting in their waiting area, and decided to have a cup of coffee they provided while waiting. I had never seen, or used a Ninja coffee maker before. I made a cup for myself, and all that I can say I was sold on the machine's performance and quality, along with the coffee being excellent. It did not take any longer than my Keurig machine. The garage owner answered a few of my questions about the Ninja. I decided immediately to pack up my new Keurig and return it for a refund. I then ordered this Ninja, that I am very pleased with.

Not Suitable For Use In the UK
What an utterly disappointing experience. It is beyond me as to why Ninja would sell ANY of their coffee makers on the Amazon UK site when they come with AMERICAN PLUGS! There is no mention of this in the listing anywhere. Selling a product no one can use….what is even the point. Don’t let the reviews fool you, they are all from the Amazon US site just plastered on this UK posting to make it look good. Ninja makes great machines but not for users in the UK. Also, Amazon Customer Service is absolutely worthless. They said this machine could be used with a power adapter. It CANNOT. If you live in the UK and you need a very large paper weight, this is the right product for you.
