Great deal and features, don't expect perfection
I got this pack of flashlights for the low price, single AA battery, small size and because the clip is oriented for attaching to the visor of a baseball cap. I wanted quite inexpensive flashlights for occasional use that I could put in places where they would be most handy - car glove compartment, computer desk for checking underneath wiring, backpack, travel bag, etc. For that purpose, these lights seem excellent so far, because they are cheap, sturdy aluminum body, are fairly bright, and do clip on a hat for hands-free use, which I have found invaluable. On top of that, you get some nifty features, the main surprise being the "zoom" focusing lens which delivers a wide to narrow beam by sliding the front section forward and back. For my use, I probably don't need the zoom, I'll mainly use it at widest beam for working. But pretty neat you can focus the beam to a spot (it actually projects an image of the cree led) for spotting the bear in the tree at the campground... And like more expensive flashlights, you get more than one illumination mode -- bright, dim, and the strobe (which I find more a nuisance than useful). So for about $3 per flashlight, I think an excellent deal. These are not perfect lights by any means, there are some annoyances and design flaws. The end button for powering on and off is really hard to operate, especially with a thumb because you have to press it very deep into the recess. On that alone it wouldn't be my first choice for an everyday flashlight or a camping flashlight, though usable.I'm trying to figure out if it really remembers the last setting you left it on when you turn it off. At first I thought no in my first attempts. That would be quite annoying because it would require you to cycle through the modes (by pressing the button lightly) every time you used it. However, it may be that you have to leave it off for a fairly long period of time before it saves the setting in its memory. If that is so and it does in fact remember the last mode -- great! I'm still testing that.Another slight design weakness is that the barrel only seems to open up at the "button" end, where you insert the battery. There may be a way to remove the front end, but it is not obvious to me. So if a battery corrodes and swells and gets stuck in the barrel, good luck getting it out without being able to push it through. The light would also benefit by one more brightness level that is very dim and long lasting. I doubt you'll get super long duration with the dim mode of this light, but I haven't tested it. I don't know if the light will accept the higher voltage lithium batteries that some pricier AA flashlights can. Maybe someone can verify that.Otherwise, very sturdy feeling, handy, pocketable flashlight(s) with cap clip, good brightness, a cool beam zoom feature, although a little difficult to turn on/off. The five-pack is an excellent value in my opinion. We'll see how well they stand up to use, especially the on/off switch.**** Update 10/18/2021 - for fun, I tested the "on/off memory". It seems if you turn the flashlight on within say 12 minutes of turning off, it will cycle to the next setting. If you wait longer than about 12 minutes, it turns on at the highest brightness. For me, I just want it to remember the last setting when turned on, regardless. It may be a firmware holdover from earlier designs where there was no "soft tap" to change modes, but even then, not implemented well, the memory should kick in after a few seconds. Still, a good value for a backup flashlight.

Small, led flashlight runs on 1-AA alkaline or 1-14500 Li-ion.
These flashlights are bright, bluish tint beam, EBL 800 MAH 14500 makes this light come alive, the 1AA is a nice beam and won't get hot on high. Well made, Zoom and Switch feel good, use tip of finger to turn on (small button), fits in pants pocket nicely. Removable clip. I have ordered 4 boxes of the flashlights now, I have given them to family members and friends to use and let me know how they like them. Each person has said they are bright on the 1AA battery and very handy because it fits in your pocket or purse nicely. None of them have Quit working, only replace the battery and it's like new again. Hard to find such a good deal at about $3.00 each.. update I have bought about 4 more box’s of these to give out to friends at our clubhouse. Found 1 flashlight out of the box not working properly and Kootek sent me a new box of flashlights for the inconvenience. Service with a smile. Now that I have 4 extra flashlights I am still waiting for one of the flashlights to quit, the first flashlights I handed out have been in service for over a year and no complaints, Just replace the battery when it starts shutting off. If you run the 1AA alkaline it’s about 120 lumen, which is ok. But if you run 14500 li-ion it jumps to the 300 lumen with a bluish tent beam (Bright) for the size of flashlight. Remove the clip and easy to store in front pants pocket, Switch is recessed and will not turn on in your pocket or purse.

Very Cheap but Descent Flashlight
Pros:First and foremost is that this flashlight is cheap, a five pack costs just under $14, which makes it great for tossing in a few bags as backups. The wight feels good in your hand and pocket. It isn't heavy without being so light that you feel like you are going to lose it. The Aluminum body is showing its toughness. It has been dropped numerous times over the past few weeks onto hard surfaces from a few feet and has not shown any serious damage, and almost none at all. I have also been happy with the brightness of the light and I personally prefer flash lights that have no more than three modes. I also dislike proud buttons so any flashlight that has a recessed button that is still easy to reach gets a bonus in my opinion.Cons:There are some issues with this light in its construction mostly. First, the clip can be a problem. It does not have strong tension, so it is easy for it to get knocked out of your pocket. It would also be nice if you could reverse the clip's position, however there is no location for this. I have also had some problems with the focusing mechanics. The biggest irritation is that the red piece that threads into the body of the light catches around the LED sometimes when focusing it back to flood. I personally dislike lights that focus but that is a personal preference that I tend to get past. I have also found that a couple times in my pocket the top has come somewhat loose but not all the way off. In the last picture it is seen completely removed. This is the point of contact that I mentioned before as well.General Thoughts:Overall I like this flashlight, especially because of the price point. I really like the size and the fact that they kept it mostly simple with the button placement and modes. I have a few gripes but have still been carrying this flashlight even past my initial testing period, and it has become one of my most commonly carried flashlights.

Flash lights are just as expected. Seller was helpful
Flashlights are good. I like the fact they take one AA battery.
