They do not spin
These did not spin and I live on the water. Winds were upward of 15mph and they didnt move an inch. Good idea but they just dont work

CHEAP POOR QUALITY
These are super thin & don't think they will hold up to the wind they need to yet them turning, but will see....

Some issues
First, I had to use thread lock to keep the retaining ball from coming loose on the end of the windmill. The shafts rusted pretty quickly so the look wasn’t very appealing. After about a month, the retaining washers on the backside of the windmill started giving up so it caused the windmill to travel back and forth on the shaft and the windmills would make quite the racket when doing so. They worked during the day (when they worked) but unless you have a light shining on them at night they are no help. The ducks figured this out and would roost on the top of my pool screen before dawn.

Come Flat
They come flat, need to build them up, which is fairly easy. The spinner itself is plastic/acrlyic that you bend on -- the other hardware is really beefy, and comes with screws to hook on to something. We just used stakes and put them on dirt in the garden.

Work great on keeping doves and pigeons away.
We had a real infestation of rock doves on our roof, they were driving me nuts. Had to get the solar cleaning guys out to clean my pannels and wash about 40 lb of bird crap off of the roof. I mounted these, and have not seen or heard the pests since.

Useless
I've installed three of these. It takes quite a bit of wind to make them turn, so most of the time they're just sitting there. It's particularly galling to see birds sitting near them. One unit which is screwed down to the top of a masonry fence keeps unscrewing its post from its base. I've unmounted the unit and tightened the base bolt twice, and it still loosens. when it falls off the wall, I'm trashing it.
