Litter Genie XL+ Pail with 24 ft Jumbo Refill, Ideal for Multi-Cat Homes

These are just the refills but I LOVE the Litter Genie XL + Pail. These fit perfectly into the unit and it has very clear and easy instructions. They are super easy to change out and take to the garbage. People don't even notice that I have cats because it controls the odor so amazingly!

AWESOME...This device is amazing. We scoop used litter into it daily with poops and all. We empty it and change the bag once a week on trash day. No smell, easy to use, economical and saves the hassle of taking little bags to trash daily. I would definitely buy again. AWESOME invention. Note: I use a pair of scissors instead of internal cutter.

I have had the petmate litter locker, different versions of the litter genie and the litter champ and this is by far the best. The petmate I have had many moons ago and you had to spin the wheel to lock the litter after each scoop which really didn’t work so well. Then I got the smaller litter genie which works but in order to change out the bags you had to put your hand on the same place where you put the litter getting litter residue on your hands. The litter champ was good in the fact you didn’t have to use your hands at all. It has a foot pedal that you use to push the door open and the scoop pushes down a lever and you drop the litter in. Only downfall there is when it opens the smell rolls out. With this bigger litter genie the lid stays up a lot better than my older version, you can keep the slide in place until you are done scooping and then can drop it all at once keeping the stink down and when you change the bag you flip the lid up and cut the bag so there is no touching the nasty litter residue. The downfall of this design I would say is when you flip the lid and take out the bag it is top heavy and wants to fall over when you are trying to tie the bag off to start a new one. But overall I really love this new design.

I’ve been using the Litter Genie XL+ Pail for a few weeks now, and it does a good job of controlling odors and making litter disposal more convenient. However, there’s a frustrating issue with the locker mechanism. Pros: ✔ Effective Odor Control – The pail does a great job sealing in odors, keeping my home smelling fresh. ✔ Easy to Use – The one-handed operation makes disposal quick and easy. ✔ Large Capacity – The XL+ size is perfect for a multi-cat household, as I don’t have to empty it as often. ✔ Includes Jumbo Refill – The included refill bag lasts a decent amount of time. Cons: ➖ Locker Always Comes Loose – The locker mechanism that holds the lid closed is very flimsy and constantly comes loose, which is quite annoying. ➖ Refills Are Expensive – While the pail is useful, the cost of replacement bags can add up quickly. Final Thoughts: While the odor control and ease of use make this system great, the locker issue is a major inconvenience. If that can be fixed, it would be a much more reliable product. I’m on the fence about recommending it because of this flaw.

We have 2 XL Litter genie for each manual litter box to partner with our 2 liter robot-4, as 2 of our 4 cats don't like the LR4. These help is clean daily and contain the odor. Rather than dumping litter in our garage trash bin which was horrible or having to put in bags daily, we empty this once a week, super easy.

This works so well. We have 2 cats and scoop everyday. This keeps the odor contained and is very easy to use. I am happy with this purchase.

This isn’t just good for 3+ cats, this is a necessity to any cat owner. The original being a little bit smaller means that you’re gonna be changing the bag pretty often if your cat goes regularly. With my three cats typically takes about four days for the entire bag to be filled. Before with the original it would be Every two days. Definitely like this one a lot more and the only issue is that it doesn’t seal very well. One of them I had to kind of break it out a place to make it fit properly and actually close off the stinky part. The other one you just had to push it in really far for it to work. That’s really the only issue with it you can make do with it.

Love it. I bought 3. I have 5 cats and it keeps the smell inside and easy to use. Easy to change bag too.

Large enough to last several months for my 2 semi outdoor Cats. No odour escapes as shutter door seals well. The built in blade makes bag changing easy. I use tiny cable ties to twist and tie off old bag before cutting the end so never come in contact with its contents and use another tight tie to start next bag. Amazon unfortunately doesnt stock replacement bag cassettes here in South Africa but found perfect generic bag rolls that fits into original cartridge on Temu.

It is definitely large (helpful when you have more than one cat), but it's a bit flimsier than the smaller version (I owned this previously). It tipped over by accident when I was unboxing it, and half of the pieces broke away. The smaller version you could lift it up by the open slot in the back with no issue, but with this one, the top lid comes off if you hold it by this same slot. After tipping over empty (again, just from the ground - not like I was even holding it up off the ground and dropping it), the spring in the slider part broke. It definitely seems a bit too expensive for the quality - disappointed considering the smaller version I've purchased in the past (not from this seller mind you) was much sturdier.

LO QUE MAS ME GUSTO Con este sistema se eficienta el control de los desechos, pues los acumulo por unos 5-6 dias antes de sacarlos y tirarlos. Sella muy bien y no deja salir olores, nada de olores. Es muy facil de poner la bolsa y eliminar los desechos. Aunque saques la bolsa con desechos esta esta muy bien hecha que no permite ningún olor escaparse aun estando afuera del contenedor. Sigo recolectando los desechos igual de rapido, pero no tengo que andar colocándolos en una bolsa y luego en otra y asi para que no generen olores. LO QUE NO ME GUSTO El contenedor es alto y no tiene buen balance. Al moverlo o arrastrarlo es muy normal que debido al peso en la parte superior, este tienda a caerse inclinándose muy facil. Ya supere este problema empujando con el pie de la parte inferior, pero creo que se puede mejorar el diseño. El sistema de corte de bolsa es bueno, pero no siempre funciona correctamente, se tiene en ocasiones que deslizar segmentos de la bolsa y no todo el plastico completo. Es una navaja protegida, pero es cuestión de agarrar maña y ya se soluciona. Aunque me sigue molestando.

I have four cats. After a few weeks of using this pail, I feel I can do a fairly accurate review of the product. Odour control. It ticks that box. Note, it only says odour control in the wording, not odour eliminating. However, between the cat litter I started using for my cats, and this pail, the odour control is far higher than I expected. It's taller and narrower, rather than shorter and wider. Therefore it fits in the spare I have available far better than any normal kind of bin I've used in the past. So you might want to double check the space you have available against the measurements of the pail. I have four cats. Four indoor cats. The cartridge with the plastic insert is lasting well. I wasn't too sure about how strong it would be just tying knots in the bottom, and once filled, in the top, but surprisingly it's worked fine so far. Indeed, I've had ordinary bin bags give way on more than one occasion compared to this. How long does it take to fill the pail before it requires being emptied? For my four cats, it lasts about seven days before I have to remove the waste, and tie a new knot in the bottom of the plastic to start the process all over again. The downside? The initial outlay is far more than your normal bin from a supermarket. However, it has been pretty well designed and does the job better than a bog-standard bin. The other downside? The cartridge with the plastic interior is a bit expensive in my view, but overall it does the job well so I can kind of look beyond that - for now at least. A little detail is the holder for the litter scoop clips onto the inner edge of the pail, and is easy to remove so you can keep it clean. Plus, the top where the plastic doesn't cover is also easy to wipe down with an appropriate cleaner, so it all helps contain those odours to which I referred. Would I recommend this product? Actually, yes I would. I thought it might be far more of a gimmick than a serious piece of animal husbandry, but it definitely isn't a gimmick.

This litter genie has literally been a game changer for my boyfriend and I. Having two cats really proves how much you need to clean up. Even after cleaning our litter boxes two times a day, we were still finding it to be a huge pain to continuously use poop bags, or empty pains, or just deal with the smell. That’s when I found the Litter Genie- and I honestly haven’t looked back ever since. Getting the XL size for more than one cat is absolutely the move. It is spacious, the bag refills lasts a long time, and it traps all smell inside. It even has a sleek little spot to put your pooper scooper! Super easy to set up, change the bag out and refill, we usually fill a pail in a week/week and a half. Compared to having to take poop outside every day or every other day, this takes so much stress off our shoulders. Finding the refill bags were easier than I expected. I find the exact ones I need at Canadian Tire for a very reasonable price. We share our love for the litter genie with every cat owner we know- seriously the best amazon purchase of the year!!!
