Great recipes and recommendations
I never write reviews of cookbooks until I've had the chance to really use the book; I've made about half the recipes in here so far. This book is a wonderful addition to a cookbook shelf if you have any interest in Japanese food. The recipes I tried are delicious and straightforward. Tuna mazeman has become a weeknight staple in our house that is fast, cheap, easy and tasty. Dango miso was filling and comforting during winter. Kabocha croquettes and onigiri made great additions to my lunch rotation. The mochi donuts are a repeat dessert for us now, and her cha-su recipe and recommendation for sun noodles made my homemade ramen restaurant quality. But the real standout in our house was the recipe pictured on the front of the book: the salmon rice bowl.Rie also makes great suggestions for substitute ingredients that are harder to source and explains how to use different Japanese ingredients from specialty stores. I really liked when she pointed to specific brands so that when I did seek out specialty ingredients I didn't have to guess.

Excelente
Es un libro muy simplificado de recetas, nos gusta que es muy sencillo de entender. Lo difícil es conseguir algunos ingredientes. La calidad excelente, de tapa gruesa e impresiones impecables. Lo único que no me agradó es que no todas las recetas traen foto.

Easy. Good and different
Always liked Japanese food but never really attempted Japanese food at home.I could try to internet recipes but never know if it will be reliable or what it should taste like.This cookbook is easy to follow with ingredients I have at home already.I’ve made half a dozen recipes already and they are all good, fresh tasting and feels healthy. More importantly they taste different from the usual fare.Good book. Get it.

Nice cookbook
Great photos and detailed instructions, also gives substitutes if ingredients are not available in your area, look forward to trying out these recipes.
