Auto Start Stop Disable/Delete/Eliminator/Disabler Compatible with Malibu (2016-2018)/Chevrolet Equinox (2017-2018)/Cadillac XT5 (2016-2018) and Cruze (2015-2018)(Big Plug)

Installed it on a 2017 Cadillac XT5 Premium Luxury 3.6 L AWD with no button to switch off the Start/stop. Good quality - looked just like the original connectors and wiring. You need to closely compare what you have with the small/big sizes, so you order the right item. Easy install, and it worked perfectly from the start. No fault or engine check lights. Everything works as usual, including the remote start. Unfortunately, no instructions were supplied with the device. Watched YouTube videos that walk you thru the procedure and it's a fairly straight forward install. I've been running it for the past few days and no stop/start. I am very satisfied with this purchase.

The jumper works as advertised and was simple to install and test. The jumper works by disconnecting one wire (brown I think) from the hood latch harness. This signals to the ECM that the hood is open, thereby allowing the engine to run continuously, presumably to allow work/testing on the running engine. One note of caution. I checked my vehicle using a Blue Driver OBD2 scanner before and after installing the jumper. Before the install, I had zero codes. After the install the scanner found 3 codes, all related to a hood latch fault. I cleared the codes and rescanned and the codes did not come back. I can live with these codes if they ever do come back. I'm so relieved to get rid of the annoying and starter killing auto stop/start!!!!! The keyfob remote start feature still works on mine.

I have a 2018 Cadillac XT5 which came with the auto stop feature that is so annoying and cannot be good for the engine. The car does not come with a way to turn off this feature so this short wire allows you to plug it in under the hood and stop the auto stop action. Basically it 'fools' the engine into believing the hood is open. When the hood is open, the auto stop feature is turned off. It has worked flawlessly since I installed it. There are videos on YouTube showing how easy it is to install the wire.

Easy to install. Works great on my Buick. No more engine stopping at lights. Also stop/start can be hard on your starter.

Works great for my 2017 Cruze 1.6 Diesel. Didnt trip any Check engine light and turned off the extremely annoying auto start/stop. Was super easy to install. Will post any updates if any arrise.

I have a 2019 Cadillac XT5 Luxury Sport. The Auto Start Stop device does exactly what it's supposed to do. Easy to install, and well made. I'd definitely recommend this for your vehicle.

A year ago, after a particularly annoying Starting/Stopping day, in desperation I bought this cable. But I was put off from installing it by the lack of details or photos for installation. I also got cold feet worrying that it could cause damage or the dreaded “Engine on” message. Almost a year went by and I finally decided to give it a try, but it was the middle of winter and I couldn’t disconnect the existing cable. So, I decided to wait for warmer weather, rather than taking the risk of breaking the connector. Yesterday, I finally installed this product. OMG, it worked! No engine light, no problems and most importantly - NO MORE START/STOPS!!! I can’t tell you how wonderful it is to have a normal spring experience after so many years of this ridiculous, supposed fuel saving feature on my 2017 Cadillac XT5. Best $18 I have ever spent and it’s worth so much more! I can’t guarantee performance on other vehicles besides mine, but I have no reason to think it wouldn’t work for others.

I was super skeptical at first as I fully expected to get error codes at startup. But this bypass works as advertised and was super easy to install. HINT: I checked out a few YouTube vids first, just to make sure I didn't wreck or break anything or void things like the warranty. I have compared gas usage and honestly, not costing any more than before for gas either. Plus, no more dreaded delays while the vehicle starts back up after stopping at a light or in traffic.
