Best investment for potters!
I purchased one of these when I first got my pottery wheel several years ago and it is still holding up. It is very durable and reliable to cut clay with and also to remove your piece from the pottery wheel. Cutting tool out there.Great value for the money.

Great cutter
Great sturdy cutter. Easy grab on tool. Highly suggest. The curly cutter causes a lot of air pockets in clay

Definitely easier to use than the wood stick wire ones
Since I'm still on my beginning pottery journey, I've been cautious as to spending $ on tools, but this one and any mudtool brand upgrade I've made has definitely made the experience easier and Mudtools brand is made for ample use without cutting or hurting your own hands, the most important tool of all.

good mud tool quality -- be sure of the wire length
in the description it said: Well suited for a 13" wheel-head, total length is approximate 15″ but may vary slightly. This was not clear because I presumed total meant that the wire and the handles total was 15 inches. I also believed because it was the green handle that it was color coded for length. I believed the actual measurement of the wire would be around 10 inches because a previously purchased green handle mud tools wire was actually 9 inches of wire. That is not the case. This wire is actually 15 inches plus the handles. If you are wanting a short one, (as I was) then this is not the one you want

Easy to use and doesn’t hurt my fingers!
I’m so glad I decided to buy this wire. I was previously using a cheap wooden one, and it was much more stiff than this mudtools one. This one is way more flexible and cuts my pieces right off the bat with no struggle. Love it

Worth the investment
After breaking several wood-ended wire cutters, I decided to invest in this. And WOW, I should have sooner! I can tell the quality of the wire is great because it never deforms and stays intact. I haven't noticed any wear on the plastic end pieces where the wire comes out... but I'll update my review if anything changes. LOVE this product and would highly recommend it to any ceramic artist!

Easy to find in the clay mess.
I hated the feel of my old one with wooden hands. This is much nicer and easy to find in my water bucket.
