I love reading this book with my 3 year old. It's a heartwarming story of a young girl finding the same natural joys of her parents. Its a sweet story of a little girl with a beautiful heat. I can't wait for the next book!

I was thrilled to see a second book in the Ari J. series, to build my daughter’s collection. This is a sweet story that furthers Ari’s journey, setting a great example for children to learn responsibility, respect and an appreciation for their environment. Well done!

I function under the belief that adults should read children's literature regularly. If not for any reason but to remember what it's like to nestle in, and for a time forget thee pressures of adulting.With that being said, Ari J's Firefly rescue transported me. Being Black and southern and female is a specific experience, and for me, this delightful book took me back to being outside at dusk waiting for it to get dark enough to see the neon glow of fireflies floating just beyond my reach.I congratulate Ain Drew and Shamar Knight-Justice for creating words and visuals that are as transportive as some of my most favorite snuggle time reads. Kudos to them both. I will certainly add this to my "books for me and thee babes" list.

I have been impatiently waiting for the next Ari J. adventure and Ain Drew did not disappoint! Ari J. has returned with a new lesson and a dynamic village to showcase! While the first adventure showcased Ari's relationship with her mother, this new adventure really highlights other members of her beautiful family. Ari J.'s Firefly Rescue gave me the right mix of warm and fuzzies while dropping some wisdom about compassion. I felt right at home as I envisioned a summer trip down South to make memories with family. This book is so beautifully written. The illustrations are bold and vivid. This is an all around feel-good adventure. Well done!

Ari J’s latest adventure is one that is both heartwarming and refreshing. As exciting as it is for children, it also touches the inner child of the adult reading it. It’s a reminder of the innocence of children’s curiosities and the importance of their exploration. It demonstrates the innate empathy that kids can develop when given the freedom to explore and observe nature, and when they are nurtured in love. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and going on the journey with little Ari. I can’t wait for the next one!

The images match perfectly - from Ari's impeccable fashion to the endearing expressions on the parents' and grandparents' faces. My daughter loved the story, and I felt a lovely dose of nostalgia.This book is a wonderful addition to your summer (or really anytime of year) reading list!
