The SpongeBath finally solved my quest for an easy, effective and long lasting solution to remedy " Stinky Sponge Smell ", which I KNOW you're familiar with. My family uses your basic everyday sponge to clean everything in the kitchen including yes, the kitchen sink. We're environmentally conscious and try to keep paper waste to a minimum and harsh chemical cleaners away from our food and kids.But after a days worth of countertops, dishes, spills, food bits, etc, I've always had to try and clean the cleaning tool trying to spare our noses and hands from the inevitable odor. Soap was too mild, bleach/409 too harsh (and would disintegrate it after a few times) . And I wasn't about to throw away a 2-day old sponge all the time!Enter SpongeBath. I'll spare you the various googling I had done for months trying to find something that could be used off-label for this problem.I wanted simply to freshen up and sanitize my sponge, but not degrade it or make it unsafe around curious kids and 2 cats. Nothing was quite right until just a few weeks ago an Amazon search result suggested SpongeBath.I'll admit I didn't really " get it " at first glance. But after reading about it, it seemed to be just what I was looking for. I was shocked someone thought of such a specific and get common problem as much as me.. So I took the chance, ordered it, and about 5 minutes after receiving it, I had it set up, filled with a simple mix of water and the citrus based solution (the bottle has convenient 1oz measure markings on it). I put my stank sponge in the clamping basket (which had been in use for days so you can imagine... ) and submerged it for its first bath. I honestly didn't know what to expect. I stared at it for a few mins - it looked nice I gotta say- small footprint, clever design, sturdy build with a sleek look. I eventually let it be.I got back a couple hours later and went right for it. It was fun/scaryl to take it out, cautiously bring it to my nose and sniff. It was amazing!! The sponge had a mild fresh scent but not like a fake cover-up fragrance. There was also no chemical or harsh smell. And best of all, ZERO stink from before. The best way to describe it is it smelled new. Brilliant!Suffice it to say I demo'd it for the fam and everyone got in the habit of storing the sponge in the bath after a clean up, and NOT in or around the sink growing who knows what.It's been a week or so and we have 2 sponges in rotation- one soaks and freshens while the other cleans then we swap. I haven't smelled " Stinky Sponge Smell " since that first day! Not to mention my sponges still look and feel as good as they did out of the packages. I can def see this extending the life of our main kitchen cleaning tool dramatically. It always stays moist so it doesn't go thru that shrinking/expanding thing that at night. Whoever invented this, good going! I only wish I thought of it first! Haha.I know what my mom, sis & brother are getting for Christmas!Great product!

It was very difficult for me to spend so much money on a sponge holder. But I can't stand the smell of a sponge even after 1 day. So it was worth it to me. I'm happy I purchased this and I would again. It not only looks nice (I mean, who wants a dirty sponge sitting out), but it works well also. There is never an odor and that is what's advertised. However, I took off 1 star because I seem to be changing the sponge as often as before. I thought it would make my sponges last longer (if they're clean - why change so often?). But it appears to me that the solution/holder keeps the smell away, not necessarily keeps your sponge any cleaner.

I ended up returning this item, not because it was defective or didn’t do the job it claimed to do. I returned it because I felt the holder was too bulky for my taste and I also felt the price of this device and the cost to maintain the disinfectant solution is not worth it. I am just going to use an old-fashioned dishcloth like mom always used. Rinse it out at night, throw it in the laundry once a week and call it a day. I rated this product 5 stars because I never used it and any other rating would be unfair.

Not only am I an A-type (especially w/ hygiene), but I tend to be a stickler for simplicity in products. If they're not extremely intuitive, then I have zero patience for them. The former is initially what attracted me to SpongeBath, but it passed the latter with flying colors.The packaging is very solid and well designed. It arrived no damage, and on time (always a worry when I'm ordering online.) I happen to like the white exterior, it's a good color for a kitchen countertop product. Clean look and blends right in. One of my favorite (not so obvious) features...It grips right to the countertop (no slide.) I like that, especially considering how wet the sink area can get. Overall, SpongeBath is a "home run" product, that solves multiple problems. I'd definitely recommend it!

SpongeBath is amazing! I used to have three stinky, germ filled, sponges on my kitchen counter; one for pots and pans, one for plates and drinking glasses and one to wipe down my kitchen counter top. NOW, thanks to SpongeBath, I use ONE sponge for EVERYTHING! No more stinky sponge, no more clutter, and no more worry that i’m spreading bacteria from one thing to the other. Now, I clean my drinking glasses with confidence, knowing that they are bacteria free AND when I drink out of them they smell good now! Plus, the SpongeBath looks great on my kitchen counter! I highly recommend SpongeBath. It’s so simple and so effective and has really made my kitchen feel like I always wanted it to feel; fresh and clean!

Ever looked at your sponge and thought "eeeww!" I came across spongebath by accident and it was the best accident ever!!! I used to always throw my sponge out at least once a week (especially after scrubbing pots). No matter how many times you rinse the grease just seems to still be there. Since discovering spongebath it's been a life saver!!! Way less grease build up and bacteria being built up from leaving my sponge laying around on the sink. And on top of that it's fits right on my sink without looking out of place! I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!!!!

The SpongeBath is great! I am constantly using sponges to wash up things that can't go in the dishwasher. This keeps them clean and eliminates any germs and odors. It is also a compact and convenient place to keep my sponge. I wish I had found it years ago.

The product is interesting. I haven't had it long enough to see how well it works. But I was lied to when I ordered it. The page says that a brand new sponge is included in the package but it is in fact not included and I've had to buy new sponges to make up for that fact. I honestly would have given it four or five stars, I was just offended that I was so blatantly lied to.
