Don't have software issues
I bought this for my husband for Father's Day. He was overdue for an upgraded chromebook. After researching and comparing, I chose this device. I ordered it on June 3rd, it arrived June 9th and I set it up today, June 11th. I was feeling good about this purchase, and was pleased with my decision, until I tried to access the camera, one of the features that attracted me, it was an included app. I could Not get the "Mirror Preview" to turn off. I didn't want selfies, I wanted pictures. I spent nearly 1 1/2 hours online with support, with no resolution. As it turns out, my Issue falls under the category of SOFTWARE, NOT HARDWARE, which conveniently is NOT covered by WARRANTY or INSURANCE. I am sorry, but I am having difficulty accepting that rationale due to the fact that item purchased and described ( camera) was not 100% operational, but was, rather, defective due to the fact that it did accommodate all of my required parameters for choosing this device. But ultimately, and herein lies the real kicker: I can have this issue addressed and possibly fixed by "purchasing" a "service upgrade" entitling me to 1(one) 30 day Single Incident - Lenova Live Assistant - Set-up. Part #5WS1J63373. Oh, but that's not all, I get this for a mere $69.00, with an ISSUE DATE of June11 and an EXPIRATION DATE of June 25th. What does this even mean? I either have to accept or decline (or just let it go). Will this option be availabe later? Will it cost me more? Welcome to the life of a consumer. I just tell myself: The fact that it makes no sense, makes all the sense in today's world. So far, I love this device, itself

Touchcreen
This is a nice Chromebook for the price. The touch screen is useful and a fair size. It seems to be working in the way that my son had hoped. It is compatible with all of the programs that he had hoped to use it for. Holding up with for a child’s computer!

You get what you pay for?
Eh... My fault for not really researching the laptop before buying but didn't realize Chromebooks use their own operating system and not windows. Considering it's price, it seems ok if you need it for very minimal reasons like checking emails/shopping/school work/YouTube etc.... It lags a bit when surfing the Internet which worries me assuming that will only get worse over time. The mousepad is absolute garbage and either is delayed or misses your finger movements entirely so I suggest a wireless mouse. Screen quality is surprisingly good, as well as the touch screen. I usually try to stay away from touch screen laptops because the screens use to have a noticable "fake" or hazy look to them but this one you wouldn't even be able to tell if they didn't tell you. Keyboard has a very plastic feel too it, and for whatever reason they replaced the caps lock button with a button that opens the apps tab. Setup was great if you have a Google phone/Google account definitely the fastest I've ever been able to set up a new computer. Overall.... Great for a highschool student and probably can't beat the price. Otherwise I'd spend a little more and get something that actually has windows the chrome OS looks similar to MacBook.

Great middle of the road Chromebook
This is mainly a travel laptop for me. I just need it for browsing, YouTube, Netflix, etc... Maybe a bit Gmail but otherwise very limited. This is not a high-powered laptop. Yes, it boots fast (Chromebook) but you can tell it is not a flagship, which is fine based on the price. Everything I state is based on that price. The screen is great, I would complain if this would be a $1000 laptop. Cam is also fine, battery life is much better compared to all previous Chromebooks I had. The keyboard is good but it is awkward coming from previous Chromebooks or my work laptop. It feels too wide and I need to look at the keys while typing but as I said, use it for watching videos ;) I buy a new Chromebook every two years (and give the old one to family) and I just know, this will be a great travel laptop for two years ;)

Good basic Chromebook
This is a basic Chromebook and it struggles if you have a number of apps open at one time!
