You never know when you might need it
The media could not be loaded. Interesting item to have. Living in rented accommodation, you never know when you might need an all-seeing eye. Landlord has the key to my room and his handyman comes around every now and then and even if I'm not at home he will still get in for various reasons. Having this is definitely a peace of mind. You can have this recording 24/7 or recording to be triggered by movement. I personally have it set up to record when motion detectors are activated. You will have to download an app to which you will connect your device and control everything from there. Picture is very good and it will record in the dark as well. You will also need a microSD card to store your recordings (doesn't come with one). Comes with rechargeable battery and cable (no plug in). I do not rely on the battery. Fully charged doesn't last too long, only about an hour. I personally have it always plugged in.It's not big (it can fit in your palm) and it's quite smart looking. I like very much the fact that the camera lens is not noticeable which is very important. Overall, not bad and the peace of mind and security it gives me... priceless.

Cheap Quality and broken battery
I had high hopes for this 1080P Camera Clock, especially given its promising features. The idea of having a discreet surveillance device that could also serve as a functional clock was incredibly appealing to me. On paper, this gadget had it all: 1080P video resolution, a 140-degree wide-angle view, night vision, and an easy-to-use app. However, my experience left much to be desired. The Good:Design: It fits perfectly into my home decor, maintaining the product's promise of discreet surveillance.Video Quality: The camera quality is indeed excellent when it works, offering a crystal-clear image.App Interface: The accompanying app is intuitive and easy to navigate, making the setup process almost effortless. The Bad:Arrived Defective: Right out of the box, I noticed something was off. The clock hands were erratic and the camera failed to turn on initially.Battery Reliability: The biggest disappointment, however, has to be the battery life. The product description led me to expect a device that would be reliable and low-maintenance. Instead, the battery drains at an alarming rate, requiring frequent recharging and thereby defeating the purpose of a "set it and forget it" surveillance device.Motion Alerts: Because of the battery issues, the motion detection alerts are inconsistent. This compromises the security aspect, which is one of the main reasons I purchased this product. In conclusion, while the 1080P Camera Clock offers an innovative blend of form and function on the surface, the reality was far from perfect. The device arrived defective and failed to live up to expectations in terms of battery reliability. As much as I want to love this product, I can't recommend it in its current state.

Amazing
The 1080P Hidden Camera WiFi Spy Camera Clock impresses with its compact design and powerful surveillance capabilities. Its high-definition picture quality and night vision ensure reliable monitoring day and night. The wide 140-degree angle and motion detection feature add to its effectiveness as an indoor security camera. The Looping Recording with the SD card provides continuous coverage, giving me peace of mind 24/7. Although initial setup and video stability could be improved, this hidden camera clock remains a worthy and discreet security solution.

Not recommended - clunky and not as advertised
I bought this lured by all the positive and enthusiastic reviews. Unfortunately, my experience wasn't as good and my review will be less enthusiastic.I'll start with what I like. The device is small and inobtrusive. Looks actually quite nice as a desk clock. That's it when it comes to positives. Now the rest.1. Battery. It has one, but it's very poor. Even fully charged, once the device is disconnected from the USB cable, the clock won't last the night (and that's without using any of the camera functionality). I was expecting this to be a bit better, so that it can work as an actual clock too. One star.2. Picture quality. Two stars.First of all - it's not Full HD. This is where the false advertising comes in. It's being sold as a full HD camera. Full HD means resolution of 1920x1080. However, all the videos saved by the camera on the memory card are 1280x720 (see attached codec info from VLC player) - this is "HD" but not "Full HD". The app (more on that horrible thing later) allows you to switch to different resolutions, even up to 4K, but this doesn't seem to be doing anything - all videos are saved on the memory card in HD only.Secondly, the field of view is very narrow. Usually security devices have a wider field of view to capture more, but this one is either 90 degrees or even less. This means you have to put it somewhere far from the area you want to monitor, which results in even worse picture quality.Thirdly, the quality of the videos recorded is rather poor - they're all in 15 frames per second, which is barely half of the regular FPS for videos. I mean, it's fine for security purposes, I guess, but makes the video quality even worse. In good light you can see most things, even though the picture is grainy. But with poor light it's pretty useless. And the IR lights don't really do anything, unless your target is 1-3 feet away. One star for night vision.3. User friendliness. Or lack thereof. The camera has a weird mode where it starts recording once you put in the memory card. Straight away. No way to switch it on and off physically. It's a bit strange and inconvenient but whatever, I can live with it.To do anything else with the device, you have to download an app. That app is very that's clunky and poorly translated. It has a lot of options that are not really explained and don't seem to do much anyway. Zero stars for the app.In theory, the app allows you to connect to your wifi and save/view videos in the cloud, but I didn't use that option - not feeling comfortable giving my wifi details and my home videos going through a cloud that's god knows where raise some serious privacy concerns. So not rating this option. The app also allows you to connect to the camera via wifi directly (as in the camera has its own wifi that you can connect your phone to). It's inconvenient but sort of works. Unless it doesn't. Sometimes it just won't connect for no reason and you have to try a few times. And more often than not it will just randomly disconnect once connected. While you are connected, you can switch on the live view (which works, assuming the connection doesn't drop). You can also start recording via the app, but this only works WHILE THE APP AND YOUR PHONE SCREEN ARE ACTIVE. If your phone screen switches off or you switch to a different app - the recording stops. Very weird choice that makes this function basically useless. Overall, for the app - one star.Summary.It seems some people have had good experience with this device, so maybe my expectations were somewhat inflated. But my mileage was totally different - not only is the device not as described and difficult to work with, but I simply find this camera unusable as a security device because of all the flaws listed above. I cannot recommend it for that purpose, particularly given the hefty price tag and I'll be returning it immediately.
