Works for 2016 Ecoboost mustang premium
Fits my 2016 Ecoboost mustang premium. I didn’t have CarPlay and prior so I needed to buy this new usb port. Very easy to install just take a flat head screwdriver and pop out the old one (the little lip end) and unclip the 3 clips from the old usb then reverse the process and then reset your screen (varies by car). If you’re looking for a the right part this is it. Make sure your car is up to date on ford sync or it might not work (3.0 and up).

Bought this for my 2016 Ford Mustang GT to upgrade the carplay system and it worked! I also bought a wireless plug in to make the carplay wireless and I have nothing but good things to say. It was super simple and straightforward.

It worked instantly! No issues!
I purchased a used part. My 2016 Mustang already had Sync3 but when I went to the Ford site it said I could do an upgrade. Over the air never worked… I downloaded it following the instructions and updated via USB to 3.0.2(?) or what ever was available. The update was a pain because I had to create a partition in the USB with MBR and new computers by default format as GPT. I had to go through command prompt and use DISKPART to create MBR partition then format to exFAT. Without MBR the console did not boot the USB. Update succeeded. When this part arrived, it literally took me 3 minutes to pop out the old one, put the part in, and viola! It worked instantly!!! This made my day!

Works, but too wide for 2018 Ford Fusion.
It works, but it is wider than the original for the 2018 Ford Fusion under radio cubby area. I am going to keep it and widen the opening myself. I know the title says Mustang. I thought I would try it since it had all the proper connections on the back.

Doesn't Work at all
