Great Eclipse Kit
The manufacturer is listed on the American Astronomical Society's online eclipse list. The black frame glasses are identical to a "Premium" pair I purchased on another site and fit over adult prescription glasses. The lenses in both plastic and cardboard frames appear to be the same. Pleased with this purchase.

Part missing
I understood that there was a bonus 3 pair paper glasses which I did not receive. I had to place a separate order and now I will have more than I need. They do seem to be very protective and good quality.

Protects eyes well when direct viewing the sun
Looking forward to using these for the partial eclipse on October 14, so I decided to test them by viewing the sun before the big day. (Missed it due to cloud cover)I compared them to an auto-darkening welding helmet set at 13-14, which should be OK for direct sun observation. Through the glasses the sun was actually dimmer than with the welding helmet, which makes me trust the ratings and certifications they have published. The adult-sized glasses and the cheaper paper-framed versions provided in the package functioned well and seemed to provide adequate protection. The sun was visible, but not so bright as to leave any residual effect upon closing my eyes. If there was anything to improve the design, I would recommend additional shielding at the sides, above, and below the glasses frames to protect against inadvertent direct viewing of the sun, but the lenses are plenty big to provide good coverage. The paper-framed glasses were actually a bit better for this, but were harder to keep on my head.Based on the above, I have some minor concerns about the child-sized glasses. They should only be used with extremely close supervision, as children may attempt to view the sun around the edges of the glasses or try to remove the glasses. (I wouldn't have trusted my kids to use them responsibly without me watching them every second when they were an age when the glasses would have fit.)I'll update after the October eclipse for anybody planning to view the April 2024 total eclipse.Note that the blur on the included picture was a limitation of the phone camera. The edges of the sun were sharply defined when looking through the glasses.

Share the eclipse with everyone!
This is a wonderful kit for a whole family--and guests!--to enjoy an eclipse. All the glasses worked great, blocking out the light enough to make looking at the sun safe and comfortable. The large black glasses were perfect for adults and the smaller orange ones were good for kids. As a fun bonus, there didn't appear to be any problems with water on these glasses as we got to enjoy watching the eclipse from the swimming pool. The addition of the cardboard glasses is a really nice treat, too. One of the family had to leave for a public event during the eclipse and he took them along with him, letting him share the eclipse with a local boy scout troop. The plastic glasses are more comfortable for sure, and rest better on your ears, but the cardboard ones are just so small and portable, they're perfect for taking anywhere. This is a really complete kit that will be pulled out for every coming eclipse.

Returned it
I bought these glasses from Amazon because I wanted something sturdier than the cardboard glasses that would fit over my prescription glasses. I loved the look and they fit perfectly. But the sun felt a little too bright when viewed through the glasses, and it left an image on my retina after a few seconds of exposure.I have no idea if these are authentic glasses from SEIC. They came in an unmarked box with just a barcode. No identification outside or inside the package, or on the product. No manufacturer’s name or address. No certification claims. They do look exactly like the picture on the Amazon page. Maybe they are perfectly safe. But I did not want to risk my eyes. So I returned them.

Great eye protection for watching eclipses
These glasses are specifically for looking at an eclipse or other solar events. They are quite dark and have a mirrored finish on the outside. The adult-sized glasses can fit over regular eyeglasses. They do an excellent job of blocking the harmful rays from the sun while still enabling you to see the Celestial phenomenon. This set comes with 2 pairs of adult-size glasses and 3 pairs of youth-size glasses with hard plastic frames. It also comes with 5 additional pairs of paper-frame glasses. This is a fantastic set to have if you plan to watch the upcoming annular eclipse.Make sure that anyone wearing these glasses understands not to look at the Sun without this protection. Adult supervision should be used anytime a child is wearing one of these. Do not attempt to use them on a child who does not understand the importance of keeping them in place.

Great "family pack" plus friends.
I like this package, it's perfect for families wanting to view the eclipses in Oct. of 2023 and April of 2024. There's the 2 adult sizes and 3 for the kids, and a bonus 5 pack of the paper glasses for friends that stop over. Very nice.As a vet of the 2017 eclipse, I can tell you there are always 2 kinds of eclipse glasses being sold during an eclipse. The paper ones and the plastic ones...the plastic ones being the "premium option". The premium glasses like these sell for between $15 and $20 during an eclipse on the street. So 5x 15 is $75 MINIMUM if you buy these "day of". Not including the 5 pair of paper glasses for $10 each...if you were to wander out and try an buy all these on the day of the eclipse? You're going to spend $125. MINIMUM. I've been to an eclipse and I've seen people selling em.Save nearly $100 buy buying these here and now. That's not hard to recommend. 5 stars.
