Q: Is the canvas shoe lighter in weight than the leather

Maybe slightly, but not enough to really make a difference. I will say that I tried cleaning my canvas Keds first with baking soda then with Oxiclean. It made it so much worse. It started turn the canvas strange colors. Having smudges of dirt would have been preferable. I have since ordered the leather ones in hopes that I don't have to deal with this issue again.

Q: I ordered these shoes as shown in black, they are shiny. I did not order the black canvas, but that is what shipped. Has anyone else had this problem?
