Programming is simple
Great speed control I have Tekin rx8 as well 6 of one half a dozen of the other . Performance is super similar sizes key so having both I would say the hobby wing wins bang for the buck

This speed sensor is bad ass and i you connected to the right motor it's fast. I had to turn it down because I was gapping the jumps.

Im not sure yet we shall see I have alot of hobbywing stuff most of my rc stuff is hobbywing but so far 8th scale stuff not so happy we shall see never a problem with gen 2 or 10th scale gen3 this is number 2 if needed I will got back to Gen 2 spend an extra 50. Fingers crossed.

NO REVERSE WITHOUT $30 PROGRAMMER
Using this in my 1/10th scale LCG slash 4x4, stays nice and cool, and wasn't too much bigger than the stock ESC so it fits well. Kinda weird tho randomly shut off a couple times... And it wasnt even close to hot and battery was still full... Need to do more research. Also it comes with FWD/ BRAKE ONLY, NEED their $30 programmer that supports the new ESC's firmware... the $10 one does not work. so overall not sure... Kinda scummy making you pay extra for reverse... Castle ESC does same stuff just as well for same price and has reverse out the box... Plus the issue where the car stops working?? Not sure I could recommend this over a castle..
