Q: Are they all made in Denmark?

I don't know.... but they are beautifully made.

Q: Are the bottoms of the boats painted too or are they left natural? I want something visually interesting to hang over the changing table the nursery.

Bottoms ARE painted, but they -- and the little boats -- are very narrow seen from below! I find, too, that this mobile doesn't move much unless real motion in air, e.g. from an AC vent.

Q: How do you hang from crib?

If you bought a separate item to hang it from. The boats are larger than you would think though! It really looks beautiful hanging from the ceiling. It might be harder to get baby out if the crib of this mobile was hanging on the crib!

The boats are 3inches wide and 3 3/4 inches tallMy grandson loves it!
