On the Triple lens camera ,two of the camera points out the side ,one of the camera points straight ahead ,so I would imagine for automotive use you would get it better look at the cylinder walls since the camera points at a 90° angle instead of straight ahead. The short answer to both is "Yes". The longer answer is that it's confusing if you look at the manual that comes with the device. In one part of the manual is says that the TF memory card is included. In another part of the manual it says the TF card is not included. You need the card to record photos or videos.

Can I use camera to penetrate spark plug holes to examine cylinders and valves?
