This stuff is great. My husband is super picky about everything and this is the only product he will use!

My husband and son both use the GIBS Grooming El Rey Styling Jam, and it’s become a staple in our house. It gives their hair great shape and hold without making it stiff or greasy. Their hair looks natural but still styled, even after a long day. The scent is clean and masculine but not overpowering, and I actually love how it lingers just a bit. A little goes a long way, so the tube will last quite a while. Definitely worth it! We will be reordering!

So I bought this and used it and loved it but like everybody else I thought man this is kinda expensive I bet I can find a comparable gel. Nope. I bought Johnny B's, a slew of drug store high hold gels, and Billy Jealousy. What I can safely say is El Rey may be a medium in Gibs but in general this gel is more a high hold. Shine is great, the smell is a great aquatic cologne type. The hold is great and lasts well over 8 hours. Is this kinda expensive? Yes. Is it worth it? Also yes. Pro Tip for more shine slap some Gibs Showman wax or Layrite Supershine cream on top after styles for extra shine.

My husband first bought this gel where he gets haircut. He is nuts with his hair. Its a little more than he wanted to spend (we are thrifty) but after using it, he will never go back to his old gel. Isn't goopy and doesnt get crusty. He loves it

This is the best gel with the best hold and it smells so so good. We usually purchase it at the men’s haircut place but they are far so I decided to order it directly from Amazon. As usual it arrived quickly and was wrapped up to ensure no spilling. I highly recommend if you are looking for a great hold with no residue.

Best gel out there. I use it for all of my kids and there is never any residue left over after it dries. Also keeps their hair perfectly styled all day long.

I have tried various products over the years, from American Crew to other Gibs products and El Rey has been my favorite. If you apply it to dry hair, you get a dry look. Wet hair, a wet look. It is not sticky and really holds well. It is so easy to apply evenly throughout your hair. I will definitely be purchasing this again!
