I bought this thing with 100% skepticism. I figured it wasn't gonna work at all, but it was worth a gamble because it was relatively cheap. Turns out it works really good. I don't believe the output power measurement is completely accurate but that's not what I bought it for.

I recently became active again and decided to try FT8. With the crappy winter weather, I was only able to get a random wire (approx. 71 ft.) in the air about 10 feet or so. Feeding it through a 9:1 unun to this tuner, I am able to tune all bands - even 160m!The high bands work better and I have made lots of DX contacts on FT8 with it.

Worked Great

This device is working mostly as expected. The only thing is the power output shown in device which is often more than 100 watts even the transmitter can only deliver 90 watts tested with various wattmeters which I know are correct.

This ATU is fully automatic. I hooked it up to my radio and press the A/M button at the back for full auto tuning and that was it. Every time I changed to a new frequency and key up it will immediately do an auto tune and remember the tune settings. The tuning took about one or two seconds and you can hear the relays clicking inside the ATU. The LCD display shows the forward power, reflected power in numbers and percent and the SWR reading. It was able to tune my radio to 1.04 SWR. It can handle input of 100 watts, my radio does 60 watts but my amplifier does 300 watts so it won’t handle that much power and I returned the ATU not because it is no good but I need an ATU that can handle 300 watts. I highly recommend this ATU for anyone doing under 100 watts and save your headache trying to lengthen or shorten your antenna and changing coaxial cables to lower your SWR. In fact it tuned all 10m, 11m and 12m on the same antenna. My antenna is a vertical dipole using two 102” whips without the 4” springs.

Good quality and portability.Was tested for more one type of signal qnd work ok.The only "imoerfection" no have manual. On a inexpert person, will be a problem.

haven't tried it yet. If manufacturer can't change the faceplate label for a baseline specification, what else might be wrong?

This unit works great. I have 2 older Kenwood radios that had specific tuners made for them you can't buy anymore. O tried one of these units and it works great in my mobile rig. I plan to get another for my base set up. Great unit and good price.

Excellent quality. Super easy to use. Super efficient. Fit and finish is beautiful. Performance is top notch. I really like it. And would recommend. Oh and the workmanship inside is impressive. Not a horrible poorly soldered unit like some people claim. No noticable insertion loss no noise other than relays that have an audible click when tuning. I should have made the transition long ago. So much smaller and quicker than my manual tuner.
