Does it scan directly to an sd card, or does it need to be plugged into a computer?

This scans directly to my laptop. It was the easiest thing I ever set up. Then software installed quickly and easily and I was in business in a matter of minutes upon receipt of it. I always have to call for tech support when I try to connect external devices to a computer and was prepared to need to do the same with this. I was presently surprised. I wanted something in could slip in my bag and take with me. This is perfect, but is one sheet at a time, just be aware of that.

Hp laptops Does this work for HP laptops?

It works with my HP Pavilion. It was the easiest set up of software I have ever done. I usually have to call tech support, but not with this. Software loaded and I was practicing scanning in less than 10 minutes. It is only 1 page at a time, but will let you scan multiple pages individually, to create a multi page document. I love it. Very light weight also.

Can you connect to I pad .

I don't know for sure. The cable is definitely a USB port, but I'm not sure if a connector would work?

Can you scan multiple pages to 1 file?

I had to return mine because it wouldn’t connect to my internet.
