Great Value Wireless Keyboard with Smooth Performance
Iโve been using the Portronics Hydra 10 wireless keyboard for a while now, and Iโm really happy with it. The connectivity is smooth and reliable, and setting it up was super easy. The keys feel comfortable to type on, with a nice responsive touch that makes long typing sessions effortless. Itโs also lightweight and compact, which makes it perfect for both desk use and carrying around. The battery life has been solid so far, and I havenโt had to worry about frequent charging or replacements. Overall, itโs a great value-for-money keyboard that does exactly what it promises. Definitely a good pick if youโre looking for a simple, reliable wireless keyboard.

if you want mechanical keyboard in budget, this is it!!
writing this review after using it for nearly 1.5 years. I am a programmer by profession, I do LOTs and LOTs of typing. now this keyboard gives you more that you are paying for. the mechanical touch, the RGBs and the functionality to connect via usb dongle, bluetooth and wire is soo awesome. though the build quality and the keys are pretty good, i found it that using it in a moisture prominent environment will make it go mad. previously i was in delhi for 5 months and then shifted to mumbai for work and after moving to mumbai, within a month few of the keys were not working properly. like i need to hit them pretty hard or else the key won't work. so i started packing my keyboard in a bag with silicon gel and cleaning it more regularly. luckily the keyboard recovered!! :) so i guess it's not very waterproof as in mumbai being at coast, moisture levels are way higher as compared to north. rest the battery backup is easily upto a week if not using the lights and max to 4 days if using the lights. so it's a pretty good one.

MK in a budget with major compromises and annoyances
(Edit: Less than 8 months later, some of the keys have died making it unusable.) Don't cheap out on mechanical keyboard, invest in a better one that'll work for a long time, or settle for membrane until you can afford a good one. I'd suggest looking for a 75% or atleast a 65% keyboard layout. I have been using this keyboard since nearly 2 months now with my laptop + external monitor setup at home. Firstly I hate the "60%" keyboard layout. It's too compact and jammed together resulting in a LOT of mistypes. I thought I'll get used to it but even after a month I haven't. Maybe it's my skill issue but I'm still perfectly comfortable with my laptops' built in keyboard. I can type at 130-140 wpm easily on my laptops' keyboard but on this thing I can barely hit 110-120. And there's only one Fn key in the right side and you need to use that to access the Tilde symbol (via Fn + Esc) or backtick (Fn + Shift + esc), both of which are often used by programmers. That's annoying as heck too and still haven't gotten used to it. This keyboard was smooth at first (still nowhere close to the more expensive ones) and it was clicky yet silent, as expected from a good MK. However after 2 months of use it's not as smooth as day one and it's much louder too. Maybe it needs some lubrication but there are no instructions for it. Also the Shift key gradually keeps getting worse (misses hits) for some weird reason. Pros: - Type C charging. One of my main reasons for buying this in the first place as I was in a budget and this was a must. It can be also switched to usb mode for zero latency in gaming. - Battery life. Unlike what some other reviews say, I can easily run it for 5-7 days on a full charge. It automatically enters standby after a short timeout. And it also works parallelly while charging. - Lighting. It supports a good bunch of predefined colors, (RGB ofc) styles, patterns. However I preferred a static red color and that is possible too. Brightness is adjustable. All of these is controlled via Fn + some key combinations. - It's not as heavy as the better MK's. Easy to move it around without worrying about dropping it. The build quality is decent although it's mostly plastic, but doesn't feel breakable.

Best in this Price Range
Iโve been using this keyboard for the past 8 months, and the build quality is excellent. The backlight looks amazing, with 16 different variants to choose from. The key sound has remained consistent even after 8 months of use, just like when it was new. One of my favorite features is its 4 connectivity options, which makes it very versatile. It can also be used in wired mode, which is especially useful for gamers who want a reliable connection and minimal latency.

This Keybord Long Time not responding properly
I bought this Portronics Hydra 10 Wireless Mechanical Gaming Keyboard and Portronics Toad One Bluetooth Mouse on 7 April 2026. Today is 28 July 2026. This keyboard and mouse are not responding properly. Sometimes they do not work. Then if I turn off the keyboard and mouse and turn it on, then it responds. Initially it worked very well, but now this problem occurs.
