Cache L3C: My Goldilocks EDC Bag (and the iiL raeG Alternative)
For ages, I've been on the hunt for the Goldilocks of Everyday Carry (EDC) bags: not too big, not too small, and with that crucial felt-lined interior for delicate items. My sights were pretty much locked on what I thought was the go-to premium option, almost resigned to the fact that its price was simply the cost of admission for the features I wanted. Then, the Cache L3C EDC Sling Bag landed on my radar, and honestly, it's thrown a serious wrench in my plans – in the best possible way.Let's talk about that interior first. The moment I unzipped a main compartment, I was greeted with that satisfyingly soft, almost plush felt fabric. While it's fantastic for protecting items prone to scratches like glasses or a small tablet, its real benefit for me lies in its compatibility with hook and loop accessories, such as a holster for your personal protection device – your "pew," if you will. This versatility is a game-changer, offering a secure, customizable fit. What truly makes the Cache L3C stand out is the overall package at its price point. The 1000D-Black material feels incredibly robust and durable, far exceeding my expectations for a bag in this category. It’s clear this isn't some flimsy knock-off; it's built to withstand daily abuse. And the features? They're abundant, both inside and out. Beyond the thoughtful internal organization, the exterior boasts a single, secure zip pocket that also features a hook and loop section and MOLLE webbing, providing ample customization and quick access for frequently used items. The ambidextrous strap is a huge win, allowing for comfortable carry no matter my preference, and the concealed carry option is discreetly integrated without compromising the bag's sleek profile.Comparing it to options like the iiL raeG, which also offers similar internal hook and loop partitions and robust features, the Cache L3C highlights a significant difference: value. While both bags are quite similar in their functionality and design philosophy, the Cache L3C delivers all those desired attributes without demanding the premium price tag. It doesn't just offer a place to store your gear; it optimizes how you access and carry it, including that versatile, felt-lined compartment, all while being remarkably accessible. This isn't just "a good bag." It's the bag that made me question my preconceived notions about what a perfect EDC could be, proving that you don't always have to break the bank for premium features and that crucial felt-lined interior for your specific needs. If you're like me, searching for that perfectly sized EDC with attention to detail and a price that makes sense, the Cache L3C deserves a very serious look. It might just be the one that finally ends your quest.

Sling bag that checked the most boxes
I have been searching for a sling bag to fit my needs for a couple months. I live in a big city so I barely drive. I walk and use public trans. Wanted a bag that will hold my essentials so I wasn’t always worried about things falling out of my pockets. I also prefer front carry only. I’ve been using this bag about a week now and I’ll say I’m happy with it.Pros- Velcro on the front and inside backing to personalize the bag and add Velcro backed pouches- Left or right carry attachments for the bag- Zipper pulls are a nice touch- X-pac material available in dark camo- Robust plastic hardware and swivel clasp- Multiple attachment points on bag to attach gear, carabiners, and key rings-Large main compartment so you can do what you want for organization. I have my own slip cases and there are also 3 slim inside pockets on the inside flap.- Front pocket good for a wallet, transit cards, and things like that. Zipper closure.- Soft pad that keeps the bag comfortable against your body and also has molle loops to add to another bag.- Rear pocket that is good place for flat items only like tissues packs or letters. Has a Velcro closure in the center. Could be a con for you.- Bungie cord on the bottom of the bag to hold a water bottle or umbrella- Very comfortable front carry. I don’t see why I would want to carry my wallet on my back. But some ppl might.Cons- Wish it was a little cheaper but I think it’s a good value for what you get compared to other bags.- Shoulder pad has about an inch of play on the strap which I found annoying. I fixed this by tying the shoulder pad to the strap together with a piece of paracord. The first molle loop on the pad to the buckle loop on the strap. Fixed and I don’t notice it anymore.-Wish it had a sunglasses pouch but that’s kinda hard to find in a sling bag with all the other features of this bag. They sell a molle glasses case but ppl say it’s huge. There is a company called Marsupial that sells a slip case with a molle strap, slimmer dimensions and magnetic closure flap which is what I was looking for. But I’ll most likely use a Warby Parker soft slip case that I’ll store in the bag.- The buckle can’t be utilized in front carry mode. Have to swing the bag around or go over your head. I tend to do the latter.- The bungie cord allows things about 2-2 1/2” in circumference. Any larger you will have to invest in a spool of bungie paracord.- Wish it had a stabilizer strap but I carry things that are very light. I do have to straighten the bag from time to time when it slides but not often. I haven’t found a stabilizer strap useable for front carry on any bag so far. At least none that advertise it as such.

Second times the charm
Love this bag on the x-pac version. Thank you Amazon for the return and replacement of the first bag they send me first which was not the one I ordered. They were right on the second time. Really pleased with my bag, the only thing I’ve noticed was that the “x-pac” logo was not on the bag but its not a deal breaker.
