KS3 Science Year 7: Organise and retrieve your knowledge

I really wish this book was a normal A4 size. Small font is really a torture on anyone's eyes these days. The content is good but a bigger page could have had the work spread out and not so crammed and the exercises on the next page are difficult to do with such little space to write.Please reconsider the size of your book.

Nice book for kids for year 7.The only thing that I want to mention that the text size is too small for the children.

The media could not be loaded. A revision / support learning book for year 7 science subjects : Biology, Physics and Chemistry.Whether you / your child need a bit of help to understand a particular topic, a revision aid or some practice questions, it is all here in this A5 book. It is like a miniature text book but with less waffle. Focussing on the important points to learn.And it’s a Collins book so you know it is well written and presented.Would absolutely recommend this series of books and they are an affordable price. Worth every penny.

This is a brilliant help with science. Helps with school and is a great support at home. The entire range of these books are recommended they have really helped our children.

A nice and simple knowledge organiser with some retrieval questions for checking key fact recall.This is a nicely made and well designed knowledge organiser for year 7 science. The book is A5 and fairly thin so should not be daunting for students. Each left hand page has information (with diagrams or pictures to break up the text) and then the corresponding right hand page has retrieval questions on that content. The answers to all the questions are at the back of the book.The questions are simple and are designed only for recall of facts, such as "state" or "fill in the blank" rather than trying to build understand through "explain" or "devise" type questioning which is good for helping students retain key facts but won't help them develop an understanding of these facts by themselves (and that is not what this type of book is for).The only downside I can see with this book is that it claims to be specifically for year 7 but nearly every secondary school will vary with what they teach in year 7 science. For example, this book contains content my school teaches in year 9 and some material that is triple science only (for edexcel GCSE). So before buying it would be worth checking exactly what your school teaches in year 7 science.For about £6 (and assuming you'd buy the year 8 and 9 books to complete KS3) I would be tempted to look at the KS3 knowledge organiser and retrival questions offered by CGP which covers all KS3 years for about £10.
