This is a great little recorder!
The first thing you will notice with this recorder is the styling; it is beautiful. It looks good on screen but much better in person. I love the format of this voice recorder. It fits very comfortably in the hand with all the buttons and controls in easy reach. This recorder has a nice weight to it, and you can tell it is well built just by the feel of it.I find the layout of the buttons and controls is simple, effective and very intuitive. The build quality is very high with all metal construction. The Volume and the Previous/Next buttons are raised slightly so they are easy to find without looking. The record/save button is on the side, directly under your thumb when you are holding the recorder naturally in your hand. Up to Record, down to Save. Use this recorder a couple of times and you could operate it easily in the dark or under the table if you were trying to record secretly.Unlike many of the dual microphone recorders available, this one actually records in stereo. I did a test recording saying good night to my two kids. I was in the hall and you can clearly tell my son’s room was to the left and my daughter’s room was to the right. This recorder clearly picks up voices at a distance. While I was testing it in the bedroom, it clearly recorded my wife in the living room downstairs. The most important thing of course is the recording quality. In a word, it is excellent. I compared it to a couple of other voice recorders I own, and it beat them all. It was cleaner, clearer, louder and more natural sounding than any of the other recorders. It works well with an external microphone and also with the line-in feature. Having the ability to use an external microphone with a recorder is important to me and I was extremely impressed with the recording I made using the Evistr Lavalier microphone with this recorder. They were loud, clean, clear and natural. Very impressed. With the line-in the recording was indistinguishable from the original. One feature I really like is the switch to select internal storage or TF card storage. It is so handy to have a physical switch instead of a software switch buried many layers down. Another is the built-in speaker. It is loud enough that you can listen to your recordings comfortably and hear them clearly. The only negatives I found with this recorder are minor. First, it is a little slow to start recording, usually only a couple of seconds but it is still frustrating to have to wait for it to start so you don’t miss anything. The second minor irritant is the instruction manual. It is mostly understandable, but certainly not well written or translated. However, they use enough drawings that the meaning is usually easy to figure out. Lastly, the earphones are not good and certainly do not do justice to the sound quality of this recorder. This is a great little recorder. I love the size, the shape, the layout and especially the quality of the unit and the sound it captures.

Works well, except for a couple minor issues.
The recorder is quite a bit smaller than I expected, but feels high quality. There was a rattling noise inside which I fixed by opening the back (1 screw under a sticker) and re-sticking the battery to the circuit board. The audio quality is excellent and it picks up anything from shouting to whispers clearly. I've used it for 4-5 hours so far and the battery has only gone down 1 bar (about 1/5 of the way). The user interface is intuitive and easy to navigate. Once the system time is set, the files will be named like this: "YYYY-MM-DD-hh-mm-ss.WAV".Minor issues:1. The manual doesn't clearly explain how to choose the recording source. When you have a microphone plugged in and start recording, a selection screen will pop up with "External Mic" and "Line In" as options. Both of them seem to do the same thing.2. There is a 3 second delay recording to the internal memory, and a 9 second delay recording to the Micro SD card when it first turns on. The delay decreases to about 1 second for the internal memory and 3 seconds for the Micro SD card after the first recording. I recommend recording to the internal memory, since it takes less time to start recording.Overall, it's a great recorder for the price.

Just What I Needed For Shortwave Radio
This Evistr V508 Digital Voice Recorder is just what I needed for my shortwave radio in announcements of specific items, can't remember it all in ones head. I fell in love with it because its just really cool and its a small unit device. You have a choice between 16 to 32GB of recording capacity. It be best to charge it up as soon as you remove it from its packaging, according to the manual is NOT to touch any buttons while being charged up. The display will show when its over, it will stop flashing the battery icon being charged. It works and records your voice really good. And you can set it the way you want it to be as it has a few good features in the D.V.R. which is easy to work with. It also has a password 6 digit numberal feature, that you pick to open the device when you turn it on. The manual is very simple and easy to comprehend and it is very well written including the registery. The serial number is on the box bar code. It has a very nice display and to keep the display light short, due to power consumption if you set it being on for too long. This is my debut time of owning a D.V.R. over any other product available. The Evistr V508 really rocks! It is well - made by the manufacture. So, if you are looking to invest into a recorder for whatever the purpose, you might be seeking for this device is the one to purchase. It is highly recommended! 🎯👌😎👍❤

Very nice
I like this device. You don’t even need to sync it with your phone. You simply hit the switch and it will turn on and record everything it hears. If you use the app, however, all of the recordings will be accessible from the app that you download. It will divide the recordings into one hour chunks. The battery is very resilient. I set it to record and it ran for 24 hours straight and the battery was still above 50%. The microphone is extremely good. Also, it is a 60 GB flash memory drive. Audio recordings are extremely small so you could possibly record for a week straight and it would still not even be at 10% capacity. It could be in your pocket and it will clearly hear everything within a certain radius. It will not sound muffled or anything. I have had voice recorders, and their range was limited. I’ve had some in my pockets and voices usually sound muffled. Not with this device. I imagine that college students can use it for recording lectures. Usually someone is on a microphone with large speakers nearby. You will catch everything. What you hear it will hear. Don’t necessarily take everything I say as gospel truth buy it and try it for yourself. I don’t think you will be disappointed.
