I don't understand the hate on this. It all can be avoided with a little due diligence on the buyers part. If Verizon has good coverage in your area, you will be fine, if not then it won't, ask around. On the Total Wireless website, they can check via your phones IEMI number to see if it is compatible. I was paying $70 for 2 lines on Cricket and I made a mistake on the porting of my numbers to Total Wireless, the reps were very helpful in helping me fix the problem. I never had a problem with Cricket (AT&T) but 5gb per month more for $10 less is a deal in my book. Total Wireless also does not throttle your bandwidth. Also depending on your tax rate, Target may ave a better rate on refill cards than the auto fill discount.

I had them for several months. While everything worked at first ... their customer service is horrible. I got a new phone and while it worked correctly for a week suddenly I lost service and they had no recourse for correcting it. They even had to escalate my ticket, but said it would take 24-48 hrs before my phone would be back operational. Yeah, I couldn't have that so I went back to Verizon on a prepaid plan and was switched in 2 hrs.You get what you pay for ...

I've been using total wireless for months. The price is great, and the coverage on the Verizon network is the best of all providers in the US. The downside is that they throttle their data speeds hard. It's not uncommon to only get 100-200kbps during the day. Also, their customer service is the worst in the business. However, there is always a tradeoff, and I'd rather have cheaper service with good coverage than always fast internet and first rate customer service.

This item does work with total wireless locked phones but only works partialy with a bring your own phone did get talk and txt but no data and the connection does use Verizon towers however there system is not good some sort of outage they said

It was all pretty straight forward.put in the SIM card and called Total wireless and ported my number,etc. I had no problems. I am also very happy with the service,coverage and great prices.

This is great, I used it in my Samsung Galaxy S5 to move off Verizon's ripoff plan. Total Wireless gives me WAY more data at a vastly lower price.Snatch your wallet out of Verizon's greedy fingers. Total Wireless rocks.

It took a bit of fiddling around, and the service was taking a bit to transfer from my old phone to this new one, but it worked in the end and I've had no issues yet.

This is only compatible with select phones and Verizon phones it's not really worth the $0.80 it's basically just forcing you to buy a new phone unless if you already have a used total wireless phone
