The AGGRESSOR 5 wrestling shoe is one of the most comfortable styles in the ASICS wrestling range. An ecsaine material on the upper is designed to wrap your foot with a softer feel. The shoe also features supportive reinforcements on the sides to maintain good stability. These panels are also more flexible than the previous version to move more naturally with your foot. Lastly, the outsole provides targeted traction to help increase your grip on the mat.

Best shoes for wrestling, but tread fails
The aggressor is the best shoe. Unfortunately the tread pieces tear off. The grip is insane though. I wish they had more color options as well.

GREAT PRODUCT so far
Bought these for my son who wrestles at 106 lbs. I was optimistic about this purchase being that there were so many reviews regarding the material used for the soles falling apart. I also wasn’t feeling the solid sole and thought it might not be flexible enough especially when my son needs to be on his toes.Well, I was wrong. So far the soles have been holding up after being used 5 days a week for training and 2 tournament so far. The sole don’t look as if they will fall apart anytime soon and after breaking them in at practice there is no problem with the flexibility of the sole. Happy wrestling purchase

a little pricey and doesnt have as much grip as id like but very sturdy and durable.
honestly if they had just a tad more grip to the mat id say this would be the best wrestling shoe ever. very comfortable and just overall a good shoe that's helped me get some pins

Good shoe, but it doesn't last
The Asics Aggressor 5’s seemed like the obvious choice when I was looking for a new wrestling shoe. They were from a good brand (my Asics always last forever), my friends really liked the Aggressor 4’s, and they look way better. But after a couple of weeks of wrestling the grips on the bottoms began to fall off, and I was very disappointed. The look: I loved the look of these shoes. I bought the blue and white shoes and loved them from the time I opened the box. They look similar to the 4’s, especially on the bottom, but there are different color schemes and a couple of differences in the overall design. Overall I loved the look and loved walking out on the mat with these on.The price: The price is $129.99 which is pretty normal for a nicer pair of wrestling shoes. It's similar in price to the JB Elite 5’s, a little bit more expensive than some of Asics' other wrestling shoes, but slightly cheaper than a lot of Rudis shoes. Overall the price is expected, but I feel like with that price the shoes should last at least a full season. The Feel: These shoes feel great on my feet, and I really don't have any complaints about how they feel on my feet. They have great support for your ankles and they come up to right about where my ankle is.The Size: It’s a little tight, but wrestling shoes are supposed to be. Order your size, or maybe half a size up if you don't want them to be tight or you want the room to grow. (But as I will say later they won't last long enough for you to grow into them.)The grip: This is my real complaint about these shoes. When I first got the shoes the grips were very strong and almost made me hurt my ankles, but that is to be expected from brand-new shoes. But I was very surprised when after about 2 weeks of practice the grips were already beginning to peel off. I was practicing every weekday, but that shouldn't make it so I lose the grips after 2 weeks. As the weeks went on I would find part of my shoes had fallen off and onto the mat. Entire sections of the grip were just tearing off. I got 2 tournaments into the season and I had already gotten to the point where I needed new shoes! I was hoping these shoes would last me a season or 2, not 2 tournaments. I have seen others with these shoes and I'm not sure they have had the same problem, so mine might have just been a defective pair, but I was really disappointed in how long the shoes had lasted. The final decision: I give these shoes 2 out of 5 stars because they were great shoes until they fell apart after a week. I want shoes that I can use until there are holes at the toe and I've used them for 2 seasons, not shoes that lose the grip after a week. I ended up buying the Asic Split Elite shoes (Which I'm pretty sure are just the JB Elite 5’s without the JB branding) and so far they have a much better grip that has lasted a lot longer. They seem to be more like my Asics that lasted forever. I would recommend either the split elites or the JB Elite 5’s way before these shoes, even though these might look a bit cooler in my opinion. So, overall I would not recommend these shoes to anyone who actually would want them to last more than a week.P.S. I had to write this for my writing class and that's why it's so long and specific, but i was mad so I still wanted to post this.

The recipient of the gift loved it!
The shoes were exactly as the recipient requested. The only issue was they fit a bit tighter than they had expected. Delivery was quick as well.
