I bought this because we ended up with gnats around the fruit on our kitchen counter, and in our kitchen garbage pail. This item does work to collect some of them, but certainly not all of them. I wonder if an item with a fan that somehow draws the bugs in would work better, but those are more expensive. The item is very easy to assemble and use. It has a nice blue, glowing light that works almost like a nightlight and I enjoy having on in the dark in a room. I have not priced out the replacement yellow sheets after this one is full. The item does come with a couple of extra replacement sheets.

Overall, this product works great! The little gnats and occasional mosquitoes that show up in my apartment are becoming less and less! There’s a little purple light that shines that seems to attract the flies/bugs to it. The only minor inconvenience I have w it is that both sides of the yellow card tab are sticky so if my cats brush up against it, sometimes it catches their fur. Which this issue could easily be solved if I hadn’t removed both pieces of clear covering. Overall, GREAT product! Glad I finally decided to try it out!

GNATS!!!!! Those tiny, annoying, pesky invaders who show up flying and tampering under my computer during the Summer seasons. Where do they come from? Lord knows. Whenever I sat down and fiddle on my computer, my legs would feel the stings of the fruit intruders, whether wearing shorts or knee-length dresses. At times I'd slap them to get them off my legs and ears and continuously swack them from crawling about on the screen due to their allure to the light and heat coming off. I tried everything to rid these confounding critters. From saucers of red vinegar to gooey strips of flycatchers, nothing worked to apprehend and kill them. I decided to purchase and try out this kit and "pray" it finally rid the gnat invasion. I plugged in the UV light insect trap with a sticky glue card before going to bed, and lo and behold!!!! To my delight, I counted close to ten gnats wedged onto the adhesive pad in the morning. One went so far as trying to escape by flapping his wings but to no avail. This electrical trap truly works, and miraculously, an apparatus so elementary can eliminate gnats and other household insects thrivingly. I found a mosquito glued with the gnats already checked out. It will work efficiently for fruits such as bananas and peaches displayed on the kitchen countertop eliminating fruit flies and gnats. I couldn't be happier that my gnat issues are a thing of the past, and I HIGHLY recommend this purchase to resolve your burdensome obstacles with flying insect infestations.

Recently moved. Apartment had mild fly and gnat problem. I've never had this problem before so I asked others was told sprays didn't last long. Saw these on Amazon. Was somewhat skeptical about it but decided to try them. They work very well.

I ordered this product because we had gnats this summer & it was super annoying no matter how much we cleaned up. The problem was mostly in the kitchen. I plugged both of these in as soon as I received them & I immediately noticed a decrease in gnats! Not only do you get to see them on the sticky trap but they also stay away as soon as you begin using these, these plug ins exceeded my expectations & they don’t look bad plugged in either. I will definitely purchase again for other areas of my home or for any friends or family members that mention the same issue. My most favorite part is the fact that I don’t need harsh chemicals for my gnat problem being I have small children. This product was truly a lifesaver for my home. ALSO it comes with a bunch of the sticky traps so once one is full it’s super convenient & easy to change out & keep up the gnat free space!
