I picked up a refurbished Lenovo M910 "Tiny" computer to use as a controller for a Laser Engraver I have but the "Tiny" doesn't have any drives other than the internal SSD drive so installing programs from a CD-ROM or DVD would require an external drive. My main computer has it built in, but that doesn't work for the "Tiny" so I checked for reasonably priced external drives here on Amazon. I found this one for a VERY decent price and was very pleasantly surprised when it performed extremely well, with great speed and didn't miss a beat when used to install the software. I also installed a program to play background audio and to view movies from DVD's as well and they worked perfectly with no glitches when I used them. This is one of the best low price External DVD drives I've had over the years and it's compact enough I can set it on top of the M910 "Tiny", connect the built in USB cable (a longer external cable is also provided) and the drive is powered from a USB 3.0 port on the computer. I bought this because I'm taking a cross country flight and had some documentaries on DVD I've been wanting to watch and wanted to be able to plug into my laptop. This appeared slim and portable with a compatible adapter for my MacBook air. However when I opened the package I noticed the end of the player was broken. No matter how I pushed it in it wouldn't stay. When I tested it with a CD inside, the CD played but it wouldn't eject the CD using the eject button. I think it's because the players is messed up so because when I would push the button the other side would just pop out like in the photo. Sad and disappointed.

I bought this for my gaming PC as it didn't have a disk reader. That was what I originally purchased it but when I opened it I was delighted to see it had extra ports for SD card and USB and more. It comes with a light so you know if it's plugged in and on. Easy fold up little cord making taking it traveling with a laptop super easy. Would highly recommend for anyone needing something small easy and super nice. Product works incredible. No issue with speed or set up. Plus set up is super easy. Literally just plug it in. The price is also super reasonable and honestly can't think of any negative or downside to the product.

Most new laptops don't have cd/dvd drives, I had a textbook that had practice tests on a cdrom. Only way I could use it was to pick up a simple external drive. This one worked like a charm. Super easy - just plug and play. From opening the box to running the cd was probably three minutes tops. I couldn't be happier. If you need something simple - I highly recommend.

It's really easy to use. I just plugged it into my laptop and it was ready to go. The cable is short, but I already have way too many long cords so it wasn't a deal breaker for me. Having the cord holder built into it is awesome and helps with any worry about. I think overall this is a great purchase for a good price.

The drive was received later in the evening. Already plugged on the computer, and working fine. I relly like the extra USB slots which should be very useful. Very satisfied with this purchase. Also, the price is right.
