For the money, I don't really have a problem with it. I has good aesthetics. However, if you're looking for an R/C Boat that will do 20 MPH, this is definitely not the boat for you. My estimate after use on a smaller pond would be a max speed range of 7 - 10 MPH with the slightest bit of wake. With zero wake, a max speed range of 10 - 12 MPH.

I'm gonna use this in my neighbor's pool! Such a cool item. It's about as big as my cat as you can see. I have not tested it out yet because it is winter here in Chicago and everything is frozen. I will update this review when it is warmer and I've taken this for a spin.

I requested this item to review because I had the feeling it had received unwarranted poor reviews, and my feeling seems to have been correct. I couldn't immediately try it out in a body of water, but I test ran it in a basin and it kicked up an impressive volume of water with its twin props—forward, reverse and prop steering worked as expected as well as speed selection and control of the taillights.I could find fault with it; the plastic could be tougher, the battery hatch better sealed, and so forth, but at the low price I don't think you could beat it, and it's a small outlay to have some fun with! I think I like it better than the similarly priced and featured treaded land gizmo it seems to be a cousin of—life is more fun in a boat. And it's definitely better than the earlier reviews would suggest. I really don't see a thing wrong with it at the price—it's a good value in RC gizmos.

Capsize function does not work. One prop came off the second time we used it. It was quick and pretty easy for my 4 year old grandson. Now I have to hope I can find the tiny gray prop in my big pool!

This was a nice addition to my rc collection.The twin props kick up a decent amount of water in my pool I have not used it in a lake or anywhere there's an active current.From my experience it was fun to use in a controlled body of water it was decent to respond to turns and it wasn't to fast where it would accidentally smack the side of the pool I'd recommend this to a beginner hobbyist like myself.

Work’s well, powerful and is an awesome toy/gift. Enjoyed using it.

It's a hit or miss if the props spin. Please don't buy.

Definitely a very fast RC if you can get the remote control to sync up with the boat itself. I had to like turn around and make the signal travel through my body in order for it to say synced up. I almost lost the boat in a pond because I'm not going to swim for it. That was kind of the point of getting the boat in the first place to have fun without having to get in the water. The battery life's really good other than the remote control problems. It's a fun RC the two different speeds, one low speed one high work perfectly. It does do reverse kind of weird. It's not very quick but makes wakes or waves so it's moving pretty good
