JACKPET Tactical Dog Collar (Medium, Camouflage Green)

I ordered 2 one for our gsd and one for our gsd x Malinois but the green one seems awfully big and I measured his neck twice. So I don’t know if the measurements are off as it slips down and turns round his neck!! This is the XL one but I will need the large one as like I said it comes up so big so I can’t actually use it.The buckle seems solid enough

Looks good on the picture but when it arrived there’s an awful lot of velcro going on which looks a little ugly. Returned.

It fits exactly as expected and it seems to be comfortable.

This is a thick collar which uses velcro and a clip to secure, it took me a while to alter the collar to the correct size as you have to undo the velcro each time, it’s very stiff so I couldn’t leave it on my German shepherd as when he lay down it crooked into his neck.I particularly like the handle on the top as I was able to hold him back.Overall it’s a well made product just not for my dog.

I used to have a lovely deaf dog, but there was one thing he could not tolerate that was being mounted by another dog in our local park. Although he never bite the other dog, anyone watching would think he had, basically did the shot across the bough move, lots of noise and teeth but no bite. The other dog owner was useless allowing her dog to literally run across the park and attempt the dirty deed. I would have used this lead to pull mine off hers.On a practical side, this is ideal for a standard walk in the park, not for anything that involves water because of the restraint handle at the top or for agility work where it might get snagged on the equipment.The actual stitching and quality of the catch etc is excellent, the only thing I am not so keen on is the velcro adjustments, if your dog is the correct size and the velcro is not against the skin, this will be a comfortable fit, if the velcro bits rub it might be irritating and the collar will get debris in it.My dog was touch sensitive and hated his paws touched, putting his collar on would have been putting it on and leaving it there (literally the whole time we had him, he had the same collar) so for touch sensitive dogs (and there are quite a few of them around - normally rescues, this wouldn't make a good purchase. It will require too much fiddling for them to cope with. If your dog is a big softie, but a little too strong, this will be a good option, just in case.

I think it is in general a new "format" of collars with grippers and loops for size adjustment. It took me a while to figure what and how but then it works like a charm.Good size and also has plenty of room to grow. Sturdy and strong, has a handle and metallic clasp.
