Fantastic sound and the subwoofer is pretty clean
Aesthetically, these look great. I love the RGB that the products emit onto my walls. It really ties in with my whole setup. Now, let's get into this review. There's a lot to discuss. The packaging is fantastic, I have no complaints; Razer ALWAYS deliver when it comes to packaging. These were no exception, either. I had a nice time unboxing this product, and so did my cats. They immediately hopped inside as soon as they saw the foam padding. Regardless, they were not damaged upon delivery. Comes with your usual Razer jargon, so nothing exceptional, but still. Now, let's touch upon connectivity. This product comes with both a UK/IE and EU plug, so no matter where you are in Europe, you're able to use immediately without having to buy a new plug or an adaptor. The subwoofer is plugged directly into a socket in the wall, whereas the speakers are directly hooked up to the subwoofer using what appears to be either VGA, or DVI connectivity. I'm not going to look into it too much. It is what it is. After that, the speakers are THEN connected to your device using USB-A. They offer Bluetooth support and connectivity if you're ever going to connect them to your phone or any device that can use Bluetooth. Additionally, to the above, there's the Nommo v2 Pro which offers a wireless subwoofer (still have to plug it into the wall) with a device that controls the volume of the speakers, all for an additional price bump. The speakers sound quality is literally the same, otherwise. You can even buy the device that controls the volume separately if you ever decide you want to add it to your setup at a later date. So personally, choosing the Pro version isn't really a must. Save money, buy the normal v2s and you'll still get the same fantastic quality. Speaking of quality; let's talk about the speakers and their built quality and sound quality. I'll get to the subwoofer next. The build; pretty sturdy. Personally, I dig the aesthetics of the two speakers. Minimalistic, but packs quite a punch for what they are. They are made of a strong plastic, rather than metals, possibly to cut on cost. Regardless, they do not wobble because the heads cannot be rotated. That being said, they don't feel cheap either. Again, this is MY personal opinion. Now, the sound quality. They sound fantastic and reasonably clear. I'm no audio technician so I cannot describe it accurately, but I'm super pumped by the sound quality. I'm able to hear a lot of smaller unnoticed sounds, like wearing a pair of quality headphones. Additionally, they are LOUD. While not the biggest speakers in terms of size, they certainly do pack such a punch. I typically don't raise my volume to more than 24% during the daytime as anything else feels too loud for me, especially while sitting in front of it. They offer two sound modes, Stereo and "THX Spatial Audio" which is Razer's version of surround sound after buying out the company THX. Stereo is perfect for music and the sound is perfectly in front of you. THX mode works well for games, and tends to separate the two speakers in a noticeable way. Essentially, THX plays audio on both sides, whereas Stereo is like there's one speaker directly in front of you. Now, onto the next part; the subwoofer. Again, build quality and sound quality. First, the build. It's pretty sturdy. While I don't have the exact dimensions of it, it's not the largest subwoofer you'll come across. It fits underneath my desk perfectly without taking much leg room. It's a down-firing sub, which is no different to a front-firing. The material of the sub isn't the same as the speakers, but I don't think it's metal either. Regardless, it's sturdy enough to not break. Now, the sound of it. Oh boy, does this sub PUNCH hard. Because the speakers are separate from the sub, it can focus more on doing what they do best, bass. It is LOUD and can be heard across the entire house. If you live alone, in a detached house, you'll have a blast with this thing. However, if you're in a semi-detached house, or live with people, I do recommend buying a subwoofer decoupler alongside this. Not only does it reduce the mechanical rattle that can be heard when the sub is on the floor, it also reduces the vibrations that can be heard around the house, and outside. It also tightens the bass and makes it sound a lot clearer. Your housemates and neighbours will thank you for it. It allows you to turn the sub up louder at night without disturbing the peace. I personally recommend the "Auralex SubDude-II". Does a fantastic job on both aspects of this. Now, this product isn't perfect. For example, the price. It's still a lot for a dedicated subwoofer sound system, as you're paying for branding on top of this. But do not get the idea that a higher price will always be better. It's not. Sound quality can only improve so much before you get diminishing returns, despite the price hike. No more than £200-300 for a sub-speaker setup is the right price for a balance of sound and quality. This product also has one other issue that does bug me a little, but not enough for me to return it. The speakers will turn off after 15 minutes of inactivity, even if you disable it in Razer Synapse. I believe you can extend the duration of this to 45 minutes. This doesn't annoy me as much because the speakers are so easy to turn on, and they start working almost immediately upon power up. Otherwise, these are fantastic and I am SUPER happy with my purchase. TL;DR: Great aesthetics with vibrant RGB lighting. Packaging is top-notch as expected from Razer. Connectivity is versatile with UK/EU plugs, USB-A, and Bluetooth. The Nommo v2 Pro adds a wireless sub and volume control but isn’t necessary for the same sound quality. Build quality is sturdy, and sound is loud, clear, and immersive with Stereo and THX Spatial Audio modes. The subwoofer delivers powerful bass but may need a decoupler for noise control. Downside is the auto shut-off after inactivity. Despite minor flaws, it's a fantastic purchase. TL;DR;TL;DR: Great sound, strong build, powerful bass, and vibrant RGB. Pricey, but worth it. Minor auto shut-off issue. Solid buy.

The difference between the nommo v2 and v2 x is massive
When I started looking for pc speakers I came from a fair amount of time sat infront of my dj monitors so I really didn’t want to go out and buy something tragic for the sake of having speakers on my laptop. But here’s the thing, since investing in the razor cooling pad it’s loud enough to muffle my laptop speakers to the point I felt buying additional speakers would be a reasonable solution. I read through the reviews and decided to order the razer nommo v2 x initially, the packaging certainly looked premium and unboxing them was a bit too much flash, in a way it felt like these speakers were so expensive because of the packaging. I connected them via Bluetooth to my mobile phone and instantly they sounded flat, empty, almost tinny. I couldn’t get ever the lifelessness coming from these things given the praise in the reviews. It wasn’t long before the 2nd song started and now the left speakers crackling. Okay that’s pretty much where I put them back in the box and started a return. I decided to order the v2 nommo set with the sub woofer instead, I didn’t really need a wire free set up or a desk controller so the extra 200 for the pro set wasn't appeal to me much. When this set arrived I instantly felt more like I was paying for what was in the box than the packaging, it was a lot heavier, there was less foam and flash and more stuff. Stuff = happy days! Anyone who’s ever done any form of PA set up will know that the tops are not going to do a great job of handling mids, highs and lows, once the sub woofer is active the smaller speakers can focus on the med/high frequencies and the low frequencies can go to the sub woofer. And this is exactly what is happening here, the desk speakers have lost the low frequency port at the rear and been replaced by a lighting effect, the wiring is now run through the sub woofer and once it’s connected through synapse on the pc (pretty much a painless progress especially if you already have the cooling tray) the lighting effects sync with the other razor products, the general settings are all in front of you and should you wish it still works fine with Bluetooth as a set of speakers that will play music off just your phone - albeit you will be missing the EQ, mode select and lighting controls. Whoever wrote in their review that there’s no difference between the v2x and the v2 is obviously not hearing what I’m hearing, it’s like someone just turned on the colour in a black a white film, for the money these really are great speakers for a little laptop with a noisy turbo fan running under it to keep it cool. Yes I would recommend this item - 4 stars instead of 5 because of the fact they made them as a set without the sub in the beginning. Definitely stick with this set it’s a lot better.

Razer Nommo v2 speaker system
Excellent sound from this system. Subwoofer adds depth to the sound and very clear. Suggest purchasing the control pod that can come with this sound system.

Excellent speakers for music and online calls
Loving these speakers. Got them on special price (£132) which makes them a steal. Works with my work PC and MacBook great. Shame the software that controls the lights only works on Windows but I'm happy with the gentle switch from one colour to the next - adds well to the desk aesthetic. Way better than the Logitech Z407's that have been good for the last four years but just don't have the same level of clarity. One thing I haven't been able to find is a way to turn down the bass but they work well switching between music and calls (not boomy). Watch out for the huge sub-woofer mind!

Terrible service.
Worked well for 2 months. Something in the bass unit blew with a loud bang. Tripped all my plug sockets. ZERO help and care from Razer - they make you take videos, send pictures - of a product that I told them smells of burning?? Seriously poor service. Since having this problem I have researched the company and it's service policies - you will be AMAZED how many people have DREADFUL service from them. You cannot call them (unless you are in the USA) - you have to open a 'ticket' on their website - you HAVE to sign up and give ALL your information too. They take days upon end to reply to each question etc you post on your ticket. The product sounded well when it was working. So - what happened? After 2 weeks of them insisting I plug in the BURNING smell unit to take MULTIPLE videos (it's blindingly obvious it's blown up) I gave up and went back to Amazon. I chatted with an Amazon rep who called me the instant I clicked 'call me now'. Within 5 mins I was told I can return to Amazon for a refund etc. Obviously as it's high value Amazon needed to check I had returned the real item before refunding - took like 3 days to complete. I did not even have to pay return postage - printed the label off myself that Amazon provided. Be careful with Razer products. They seem to work well, but reading reviews from big websites they are mediocre and the after sales service is appaling.
