I happened across the MicrodermaMitt while I was browsing for a new exfoliating cloth to replace an old one. The price seemed pretty steep for an exfoliating mitt, but the reviews were good, and I was in a "treat yo'self" mood that day, so figured I'd give it a shot.... Not going to lie, I was a bit disappointed when I opened it. It kind of looked like something I'd find in the $1 Deal bin, and it felt so smooth/non-abrasive that I really didn't think it was going to actually exfoliate my skin all that much. I figured I'd been duped out of 25 bucks and that was that.... Next time I went to shower, I almost grabbed my old exfoliating cloth, but decided to at least give the MicrodermaMitt a shot. And I still CANNOT believe how well this mitt worked. (Now, I want to preface this by saying that I religiously exfoliate, twice a week, every week. I've been through plenty of different exfoliating cloths, mitts, scrubs, etc.) I got in the warm shower, gave it a few minutes to soften up my skin, then turned off the water and got to scrubbing. At first, I really didn't think it was doing much. It didn't feel harsh, abrasive, or scratchy like most exfoliating mitts, and honestly, it felt like it was just kind of smoothly wiping over my skin. And then I ran my hand over my freshly-exfoliated stomach, and it was absolutely COVERED with little balls and rolls of removed dead skin (gross, I know). This mitt exfoliated me SO well that I had to stop and rinse myself and the mitt a couple times before I got completely done. And as someone who already frequently exfoliates, I couldn't believe there was THAT MUCH to remove!!! After drying off, and applying a light moisturizer, I still can't believe how smooth, silky, and fresh my skin is. Even though the MicrodermaMitt exfoliated so well, it was not harsh, at all. Usually I come out of the shower a bit red, blotchy, and dry after exfoliating. The MicrodermaMitt didn't leave me red or overly scrubbed at all, just smooth and fresh. In fact, it was so gentle that I even used it on my face immediately after stepping out of the shower. The generous size of the mitt makes it super fast to exfoliate all over, it easily rinsed clean, and the hanging loop is super convenient for storing out of the shower. I will definitely purchase this mitt over and over again, it is WELL worth the price!

I have dry skin and really wanted something to help scrub it off. I tried microfiber towels and other hard sponges and they were OK at best. I decided to try this Body Mitt based on the number of positive reviews and have to say this mitt is amazing! You really need to follow the directions and you have to put some effort into scrubbing. Yes, your skin will likely turn a bit red from the rubbing but it goes away quickly and is worth it. The amount of dead skin that you can remove with this mitt is amazing! I have very rough elbows and generally need to use a fine file to sand them down dry. Using this mitt, I have been able to scrub them smooth! Same goes for my knees. I generally use this about every 2-3 days in the shower and it has made a noticeable difference. Trust me, you don't want to use this in the bath because you want to flush away the skin as you remove it. My skin is much smoother and softer. I liked this mitt so much I also bought their smaller ZitMitt. It's less abrasive than the Body Mitt and it removed all the dry skin from my face and cleaned all of my pores! It actually pulled the blackheads out which I didn't think was possible using just a mitt. If I had to mention one negative it's that the mitt's seams started coming apart after about a month. I wrote to the seller and they were quick to reply and sent me a replacement immediately! Great customer service! The second mitt seems to have stronger seams and has held up really well. I know this Body Mitt is a bit expensive but if you have dry skin then this is totally worth it!

Effective, but it can cause skin irritation if you aren’t careful.

I have a skin condition where I get a lot of extra skin buildup, with itchiness/bumpiness. I had tried different scrubs in the past and loofah-derivative products, along with boar bristle bath brushes, to try to help, but they did not seem to work for me all that well. This product, when following included instructions, was a pleasant surprise. I am able to see the sloughed off skin right on the mitt, and there is quite a lot of it each use, which I could never visualize with other products, i.e. couldn't see their effectiveness. From what I believe I read for the product, it should be replaced every 6 months. I have had this mitt a little over 3 months; I think during 1.5 months in, one side did develop a tear. Caveat is that I do use it more frequently than many others probably do, which is every 3-4 days as my skin needs it often. I don't think I was that aggressive with the use of the mitt, will be trying to sew the tear up, and I will see how future mitts hold up. I will very likely continue to purchase these if they remain at the current quality I have seen.

I don't write a lot of reviews, but I had to for this one. Unlike many other reviewers here, I was aware that my exfoliating routine was insufficient. I don't know if I'm just bad at cleaning myself or what, but it was not uncommon for me to get out of the shower, scrub at my arms with a towel, and have those little rolls of dead skin ball up on my arms and all over the towel. Immediately after a shower, where I had just scrubbed myself. It's been that way since puberty for me, and I've tried MANY products to no avail, from your standard wash cloth to expensive exfoliating scrubs to those blocks meant for your FEET (which kinda worked but scrubbed my skin so raw it felt like an open wound). Enter the MicrodermaMitt. I bought this initially on recommendation from Kallie Branciforte at 'But First, Coffee' YT channel (she's the woman who's video review is part of the listing) and I figured I'd give it a try because I'd tried everything else. Y'ALL this thing is AMAZING. I followed the instructions, got in the shower, washed my hair, wet the mitt, turned the water off, and ran it down my arm. As I ran it down my arm I had the thought that I'd likely have to press harder to get any results, because for some reason I hadn't started with a scrubbing pressure. NOPE! I pulled the mitt away and clear as day were the dead skin balls that so plagued me, come up SO EASY! That first time I used it I had to rinse my body and the mitt after every pass to get the dead skin out of the way, but afterwards I was shocked how smooth my skin felt. I'd like to emphasize that I did not buy this product with the expectation of smooth skin afterwards. I have very mild eczema, so mild you don't notice until you try to find the right color foundation, so I thought that slightly rough texture was just how my skin was! Apparently not! This product is amazing and I highly recommend it. For those who are recommending it with the caveat that "it's a little pricey" - if you replace it every 6 months, it's $5 a month. I don't know what world you live in that calls that "pricey". Most women spend more than that on makeup. For me, it's well worth the cost. I'm going to buy the face one also, and I'm excited to use it. I'm a customer for life, because this is the product I've been waiting for all this time.

This would have been a 5 star review if not for the fact that you have to be very careful in cleaning this. Upon first use, I found this to be great. It truly is like a microdermabrasion treatment. I saw all the shed skin sloughed off, kinda off putting, but my skin felt very soft with no feeling of abrasion. I realized when almost finished that debris was inside the mit. So I tried using water to rinse it out, thinking it somehow it got in through the opening where your hand goes in. Nope. It goes through the Mitt. And what's more, not only does it collect inside, in order to clean it out you must turn it inside out and be sure all the creases and corners are exposed well so you get all the debris out that collected in the corners. I found it a bit easier to use it inside out. It's slightly easier to clean, but you still have to be careful when cleaning this thing while in the shower.

Game changer for me. I get a lot of ingrowns on my legs no matter what I do. This a couple times a week, and no problems since. Plus I love that its reusable for so long, not needing to buy jars and bottles of stuff that’ll likely give us cancer somehow anyway.

I absolutely love this mitt, I've been using for over 6 months now and nothing I have used in the past has exfoliated my skin like this mitt does, it leaves my skin noticeably soft to the touch. My skin produces too much keratin which causes KP in my arms, contributes to acne on my face, and overall rough skin, but this mitt has helped A LOT. I use it every night after a hot shower (after rinsing the soap or shower gel) and it leaves my skin really soft. Especially on my face is where I've noticed how effective at exfoliating it is, because I use an acne treatment that causes some dry skin and peeling (I use retinoic acid gel 0.25% every night and salicylic acid toner 2% by "Face reality" in the day, absolutely brilliant treatment by the way, please try it if you have acne, start slowly and endure the purge for the first month or so) and here's where the mitt shines because it exfoliates my face effortlessly, and it's making a BIG difference, my face hasn't been this clear and soft in ages, but bear in mind the softness is because of the mitt, not just the treatment because I was using the same treatment on my face before and even though it is effective, my skin was always rough and dry even if I used other forms of physical exfoliation IT WAS NOT THE SAME. I love that it’s made of silk (so I’m not rubbing toxins against my skin) and it dries supper quick. I can’t do without this now! I want to order one specifically for my face and my back. I 100% percent recommend it

It disgustingly works well. I bought one for myself and gifted one to my mom. Your skin will feel soooo smooth afterwards

I used it for the first time in the shower and it did an OK job but not quite what I was expecting after reading the reviews. I soaked myself nicely in the bathtub today and WOW!!! So impressed! I was shocked by the amount of dead skin and dirt that it took of me!😬🫠🙈 Worth every penny. Skin feels so clean and soft!

Awesome for once a week exfoliating. I was surprised the first time I used it because I frequently use body scrubs to exfoliate and didn’t think much dead skin would come off but surprisingly it did. Leaves my arms and chest feeling so soft and clean and leaves my legs looking so much better. One star off because it is really really expensive for a mitt that should be replaced every six months or so
