MUST HAVE! If you're baking Sourdough!
I LOVE these bannetons! I have a set of the round ones also.. the quality is amazing! I've returned so many others from being paper thin and just - awful products... I will buy these again and again and again. It may seem expensive but they hold up well and are worth every cent! Super easy to clean, overall light weight but durable!!! and are so attractive.

Excellent customer service and good quality
I'm a beginner to baking sourdough bread. I expected the kit would have a recipe for how to make starter. There wasn't one and I contacted the seller and was immediately sent a recipe on how to make a starter. I had to contact the seller a couple of times and each time they responded within 24 hours. The customer service support is outstanding; far better than other companies I have encountered. Ok, now for the product. I found the quality of everything in this kit wonderful. I had no problems with anything in the kit.(If I am allowed to say this to beginners:Google Fannie Loves Food is a great video tutorial for beginners from step one until the bread comes out of the oven)

Highly recommend
This kit has made my sourdough baking experience so much easier! I wanted to get into sourdough baking but I was so overwhelmed with how much you needed, I found this and the price was amazing. When it came in, the box was heavy and all the products in it was made really well. It has a little basket in it and a ton of stuff and it all looks so nice. Highly recommend

A baker’s upgrade I didn’t know I needed
I’ve been baking sourdough at home for a while, and up until now I was using a cloth-lined bowl to proof my dough. It worked, but once I tried these wood pulp banneton baskets, I realized how much easier—and better—the process could be. The first thing I noticed is how sturdy and well-shaped they are. The material feels solid yet breathable, which really helps the dough develop a nice skin while proofing. Instead of sticking or spreading out like it sometimes did in my makeshift setup, the dough now holds its shape beautifully. The end result is loaves with better structure and a more professional look. They’re easy to use too. A light dusting of flour is all it takes to prevent sticking, and cleanup is simple—no messy fabric liners to worry about. I’ve proofed both standard sourdough boules and higher-hydration doughs in these baskets, and both came out with impressive results. The dough naturally takes on that lovely round shape with distinct lines, which makes scoring so much more satisfying. Another bonus is durability. After several uses, they still look brand new, and I can tell they’re going to last for years if I treat them right. They don’t absorb odors or moisture the way some baskets do, which is a huge plus. I also love how versatile they are. Whether I’m doing an overnight cold ferment or a shorter room-temp proof, the baskets handle it well and consistently give me dough that’s ready to bake. My loaves not only taste better but look like something I’d be proud to bring to a dinner party. If you’re serious about bread baking, these banneton baskets are absolutely worth it. They’ve turned my home bakes from rustic to bakery-quality with very little effort.

Yes to this! Quality.
They are just a bit bigger than I want but I’ll make it work because if the quality of the product. I love the cover that comes with them. I’ve always used a plastic shower cap but I’m liking this.

Not real wood pulp! It feels cheap and misleading.
I got this because it was way cheaper than my German-made wood pulp basket, so I figured I’d give it a try. But now I see why it costs less. This doesn’t feel like real wood pulp at all: The surface is rough and kind of fuzzy, not smooth and dense like proper wood pulp. The rim has visible layers that are starting to peel, it looks like pressed paper. The material is also a dull greyish color, not the clean, light tone you’d expect from real wood pulp. It’s also much thinner and about 25% lighter than my German one, which makes it feel flimsy and less durable. Pretty sure this is made from recycled paper pulp, not actual wood pulp like the listing claims! That kind of material doesn’t hold up well with moisture and regular baking. Also a bit suspicious how fast the 5-star reviews have piled up… something’s off. I’ll update this review after I’ve used it a couple of times, but not feeling too hopeful. UPDATE: Used it three times and dumped it. Not happy with it at all. The surface is just getting fuzzier and fuzzier that's not something I want near my dough. Fibers loosening with each use, and I wouldn’t be surprised if some ended up in the bread. It also draws out way too much moisture. My dough ends up dry and the crust thicker than it should be. Definitely not the gentle moisture balance I get with my German wood pulp banneton. To be honest I'm sure this isn’t real wood pulp. The dull grey color, flaky layered edges, and the overall structure all scream recycled paper. This raises concerns about what binding agents were used to give the recycled paper pulp its shape, since lignin (present in wood pulp) acts as a natural binder, no additives are needed in authentic versions. I’d prefer not to have unknown chemical binders in contact with my dough. You can see the difference in the images I attached, this is not just cosmetic. The performance and material quality are fundamentally different. Back to using my original German-made basket.
