High Quality Socket Set

A new set of sockets from an old household name by a new set of standards.
First thing is first and I'll get this out of the way, Made in China. Now we're through with that AND if you want to continue, while being pricey at least they're not a million dollars. One of the best things about this is the included storage bar is very nice, nicer than any other socket holder I've managed to purchase. The etching in the sockets is very sharp and good, and they're deepwell sockets, which sometimes if you don't have you are S.O.L.The biggest thing of concern and why I knocked a star off was the first one that was sent to me had something VERY strange. There was chrome finish 'melted' onto the plastic in the box of the 1" socket, and the part of the socket that was touching the plastic had it's finish 'melted' or rubbed off. It was not just from shipping as I tried to clean it with oil, the finish itself had fallen off. I don't even know how this could happen, unless the socket was tossed into the box to ship out before the chrome finish had even cooled off? I took some pictures. The good news is I requested a replacement, and the replacement did not have this issue. But, it does leave me to wonder how durable this finish really is when up against the test of time and use....

S-K no longer an American company, selling Chinesium parts while claiming USA heritage - Avoid!
I was a huge fan of S-K, all my sockets are from them. They were a leading tool manufacturer that was well respected, everything was "Made in USA". They were recently bought by a Chinese conglomerate who are now putting S-K logos on their Made in China junk and marking up the prices 300-400% trying to fool you into thinking it is the same S-K of old. If you want Cheap Chinese Junk, buy it cheap, don't buy it with the S-K logo. The brand is dead, don't support this type of dishonesty by buying these products.
