ABCs of Physics (Baby University)

I purchased this book for my 20 month old toddler as an educational book. I think it’s a little above her level at this time for content but she seemed generally interested, loved the pictures and listened to me while I read it. I purchased a few of the author’s other books such as The General Relativity which I found to be too basic for her age.I thought the visual graphics and the creativity for each letter of the alphabet was on point. I look forward to continue to continue reading this to my daughter and watching her grow! I will also be purchasing other books from this author!

I'll be honest here - I think I mostly bought this book for me and not my 1 year old son LOL. I am an electrical engineer and minored in physics, so I got super excited for this book! Topics may be a bit advanced for my baby, but he really loves this book. It's his favorite book and whenever he wants to read, he always brings this book and nothing else. I'm not sure why, but I'm not complaining 😄 I like the simplicity of the book in terms of design, and how each of the letters are explained in simple terms (not like the convoluted mess in my college textbooks!). Great book for the nerdy parent! I plan on getting the rest of Chris Gertie's books in the series, including all the ones coming out this year!

(Sadly), my eldest son, a structural engineer, does not like to read ‘nonsense’ stories to his 1 year old son. So, when I saw this and my son said he would definitely read it with his son, I started investing in this series for them as gifts! I think some of the books have more appealing visuals than others. This one has a good combination of pictures and text.

The ABC's of [STEM Field] books are really not for babies as I expected. I initially bought this book to go alongside "Quantum Physics for Babies" by the same author for my 18 month old niece. However, after reviewing the book I decided to keep it and the other two companions for my 5 and 7 year old daughters. Every letter of the alphabet has a picture, letter and word, and description. I feel it is simple enough material that my children can understand and grasp the basic concepts which provides a great introduction into a STEM field in which I am not well versed. I love the idea of getting children--especially girls--interested in STEM so I loved this book series and look forward to buying them (again) for my niece when she is older but for now my daughters enjoy reading them.

This book is my new go-to baby present (along with a stack of bibdanas which are seriously the most adorable and useful fashion accessory/bib ever). It’s my not so subtle way to get kids interested STEM at an early age. Come to the sciences, we have pi!With three level of explanation for each letter concept, this book is not just an ABC book, but an easy way to introduce young kids to some basic physics information.

I gave this as Christmas gift to a three-month-old . . . to her parents, really, since she couldn't care less! Her dad just loved it!! One of the best received gifts we gave, and fun to give in a group setting. Super well-designed with a good span of content and just the right amount of text (three levels of options for detail when using the books).

It is what it states, it gives definitions of physics related words. It's a very informative book and the kids liked it a lot. They will most probably read it a couple more times.

Absolutely fantastic!! Will purchase more from the series. Infants and toddlers aren’t stupid, they can learn more than we generally give them credit for. It’s wonderful that there are 3 learning levels within this one book, meaning we can grow with it. The size was much larger than I had imagined from the pictures (I’m sure the dimensions are listed but I didn’t look at them prior to purchasing).

Great for babies, kids and adults easy to read and explains easily for everyone to understand.

My daughter has had several of these since she was a baby, and even now at 8 she picks them up and re-reads them. Almost certain she'll end up in STEM at some point! :DWe keep adding to the collection when we spot a new one e.g. ABC Engineering recently

Unerwartet groß, lustiges geschenk

Lindo, resistente e com figuras que realmente chamam atenção do bebê. Meu filho de 2 meses já fica vidrado em algumas imagens quando mostramos. Uma pena não ter tradução para o português, algumas vezes a tradução para nosso idioma não condiz com a letra certa.
