A good travel pillow
I bought this pillow for a rafting trip I will be taking through the Grand Canyon this summer. I wanted to try it out before then, so I have used it for several nights now. First, it is much more comfortable than I expected. It feels very soft, and I didn't think it would be supportive. Yet, when I lay on it, it does not completely flatten out. It holds enough loft to be quite comfortable. I am a side sleeper, and I keep one arm under the pillow, so that helps it be more supportive. The cord which pulls it tighter or loosens it works well and holds its position all night. By pulling it tight you can achieve a fuller pillow, but it does make the dimensions of the pillow smaller. The pillow rolls up and can be stored in the nylon bag it comes with. It is a tight fit, but it makes it easy to pack the pillow. It is lightweight and appears to be durable. The pillow is small as it's meant to be easily packed and carried. I think it could have been a little larger and still be usable as a travel pillow. The outer cover is made of a slippery nylon. I find the nylon to be warm and it makes it hard to keep the pillow secure under my head. I am going to make a small cotton cover for it, and I think that should solve the problem.Overall, I think the pillow will suit it's purpose. I think it's design is innovative and effective. If you are a camper or a backpacker this is a good buy. I would recommend it.

Hammock pillow
I've been using this pillow in my bedroom hammock for 3 years now. It's the perfect size, and if I need to adjust my neck angle, it has a cord you can cinch to scrunch it up.I actually ordered a second pillow for my daughter, only to find that the insides had changed somewhat. I like the newer pillow better; the older one had gotten lumpy, but I don't think the newer one will share the same fate. Even though it's a bit lumpy, the older model pillow is still works very well. The only downside I can think of for this pillow is that when you do use the cinch cord, sometimes it will get stuck under your shoulder in the hammock and you'll need to pull it out. Most of the time, the pillow is only cinched when you're reading or whatnot; for sleeping, I leave it loose, and it hasn't been an issue then.I've taken the pillow backpacking as well. It's a big large for lightweight backpacking, but I think it's superior functionality (compared to a smaller down pillow) warrants a place in the pack. It does come with a stuff sack.

Lumpy but surprisingly comfortable
If I saw this in a store I would not have bought it. It is pretty lumpy and does not pack down as small as I wanted. Still, I brought it with me for a month-long trip where I would primarily be sleeping on an army cot. It worked very well and was surprisingly comfortable. In fact, when I was later staying in a 4* hotel, I dug it out of my suitcase and used it to replace too-big pillows. I had expected to jettison it to save suitcase space for the trip home, but liked it enough to keep it. Not perfect, but still pretty darn comfortable.

Don't Travel Without This Pillow
This is my fourth Grand Trunk Travel Pillow. I loved mine so much I bought one for two of my daughters and now my husband. I always take it on plane trips and camping trips. It scrunches to fit nicely if you have a window seat. And if I have unlucky hotel pillows that have lost their loft, I put the travel pillow right on top. My only complaint is that after about fifteen trips, the end strap of the little stuff sack that came with it fell off, and that's what i used to clip it to my backpack. Now I just stuff the whole thing inside.

good pillow for camping
I used this on a camping trip at Dead Horse Ranch in Cottonwood, AZ, Aug, 2010. Packs up easily into a small and light weight size. Just pull the cord to pull the perimeter together which folds and squeezes it down in size. Then wrap the cord around the pillow and stuff it into it's sack, which also has a closure cord. If it's too thin for your neck you cannot stack two of these, they're too slippery. Good design, appears well made. Not sure right now if it is machine washable or not. Would like to see more sizes offered with the same design concept.Pros: small, light weight, easily packs, well designed. Comfortable. Sturdy.Cons: small, not sure what the fabric is, but it is a synthetic and caused me to sweat more. Not enough size even when scrunched-up to elevate my head enough to straighten out my neck (I sleep on my side).Would I buy it again? Yes. I think it needs a cotton zipper pillow case so it doesn't feel like a spun PVC cushion.

Only 1 complaint.
Great and comfy pillow love it...only complaint is that is does not shrink down in size a great amount, but that is to be expected as it is not an air pillow...as comfortable as a normal house pillow, and a good size for your head.

Not bad
This pillow is both bigger and smaller than I expected. I was hoping for a smaller fluffier pillow but this one is larger than I realised when it's fully unstuffed. I usually leave it sinched in a little, which helps but isn't quite the same. I also wish the stuff sack compressed it more. It could be fairly small but the bag doesn't really squish it at all leaving it fairly large. This could be fixed by buying a different stuff sack for it but I don't think you should have to do that for a travel pillow, it should just come with the smaller bag.

Not awful
I received my package a day earlier than expected. Great! Once I opened it, I noticed a small tear in the stuff sack. Not worth sending back over, but still annoying. I also noticed the colour of this pillow is nothing like the picture, it is not an orangish red, it's red. Not a big deal. it is also smaller than described, it says it's 19.5"x16" I would say it's more like 17"x14". The pillow is comfortable and convenient for my line of work, so it will get used. It is made in China which isn't surprising, but is always a bummer
