Universal Recliner Chair Cable Replacement Parts - Recliner Release Switch for Reclining Sofa Armchair

Bought to repair my mothers reclining chair which was purchased a number of years ago. These replacements seem quite universal as manufacturers appear to be using the same fitting across multiple chairs

Purchased for a settee we were gifting and the one manual recline had broken. When we delivered it, unfortunately the cut out section in the settee for the housing to sit in was not the right size, only by a few mm and we had not taken tools to chisel the area out.Otherwise the rest of it is perfect and the recliner is working, you just need to use both hands to make sure it doesn't pop out for the moment until.There were no instructions but there is a helpful video on YouTube.I would say make sure you have the tools recommended to do the job and something to make the opening bigger if you need to.

Was easy to fit

My recliner chair stopped reclining, so I did a bit of web searching and found Youtube tutorials showing how to mend it. This is the answer; a replacement flapper catch and cable. In fact I just replaced the cable. The catch is metal and I prefer my old plastic one, but if that goes next, I have the metal one to replace it. The quality of the parts seems to be good, though only prolonged use will tell.

Threaded bolt part does not fit in the slot in the recliner handle. Slot is too narrow. I managed to get it to work with just the cable going through the slot, but only just. Disappointing, but it does work

all though my son was able to replace broken fitting fairly quickly he had to adjust hole slightly to accommodate new pull lever

I liked the sturdiness compared to the original one that was fitted on my chair which had already snapped in more than one place.Given chair a new lease of life.
